Restaurant zum Grünen Glas

We had an excellent meal here. The asparagus and burrata salad appetizer was a bit of a miss, but our mains more than made up for it. The veal in brown cream sauce is a common dish, but it was accomplished very well. Secondly, the mixed seafood with polenta dish was delightful. For dessert we had the goat ricotta with fruit and honey. We left satisfied and grateful to have enjoyed the opportunity for an excellent swiss meal on our last night in Zürich.

We were 3 girlfriends celebrating. We were asked to sit at a table next to a fridge-changed to a comfortable table. Order taken, water order mixed up. One steak ordered med rare was over cooked, sent back. The other steak was also over cooked but she didn‘t report it. I had fish, very dry, minut portion on bed of pasta and mushrooms. We asked the waiter for the check, 10 min later, no waiter, no check. My friend had to find the waiter for the check -overall very disappointing evening.

One of the "Wirtshäuser" in Zürich. Absolutely worth a visit but probably not my favorite one and I would probably visit something in Kreis 6. Prices are neither particularly cheap nor expensive. Service is an good as it gets also the quality of the food. Overall, very solid choice just nothing to get excited about.

Fantastic meal! In the old town but slightly off the main tourist zone, and they have some unique and delicious dishes. We had the Gazpacho with Scallops, the Tofu Cutlets, and the "South Tyrolean Schlutzkrapfe" -- every bite was thoroughly enjoyed and it was a good break from the usual potato & cheese swiss dishes we've been having for most of our trip. Service was excellent too, highly recommended!

There are many great choices of restaurants in Zurich. The "Das Gruene Glas" is well known to locals and visitors alike. Slightly hidden off the main tourist stream in beautiful Old Town Zurich, this restaurant offers a cozy place to sit down with friends or alone and have a delicious meal in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The staff was charming and very attentive, even offered to bring a newspaper while waiting. The setup of the rooms down to the table settings are cool and make you feel special. The menu had a wide range of tasty selections - from classical combinations to a bit more courageous creations. I took a fresh Nuessli-Salat with grapes and a bunch of other ingredients, followed by Kuerbis-Gnocchi (pumpkin gnocchi) on spinach, and as a charming right-sized (i.e. not excessively big) dessert a Napoleon with berry compote.

Excellent food everything well presented creative and very delicious. No complaints This is a great location off the beaten path. It was quiet the service was nice and the food was excellent. Game meats, fish, and traditional offerings.

What a great night! Relaxing and friendly restaurant in a Zunft house in the central of Zurich. They have daily menu apart from a comprehensive list of great food. Fresh seafood and tasty meat, accompanied with wine and big,big portion of desert. Will definitely go back.

Was tricky to get to (no direct route) but totally worth it. We got lucky as they're rolling out the first day of Fall menu with venison and wild boar. Great wine list too.
