Restaurant Zur Lochmühle

A lovely place in the fishermen neighbourhood, this restaurant is located in a super old mill. The kitchen is open throughout the day, which is perfect if you wish to have a late lunch like we did. The beers were really good - we recommend the Weizen and the Märzen (seasonal). They have a solid week menu and great classics to choose from. We would definitely come back here.

Wonderful food! Here you can find a fantastic blend from two regions, both schwäbische and also bayrische food. An excellent example of authentic typical southern German food! Thankyou for the amazing food!

No need to go in depth on a review when the food was absolute perfection.

This is not a restaurant for a foodie. This is a spot for a cultural afficionado. The swabian fare on offer was satisfying. I had the steak and pork combo, and tried the schnitzel and white sausage. The schnitzel was the best among the three plates. The beer and atmosphere was better. Located in a historic mill, the timber work is visible from the inside and the outdoor patio is on the river/water diversion. Great spot.

Very friendly staff, class one dishes, good choice of drinks. Everything is top except for the Beer. Berg Beer that is served here is not a classy Beer in Deutschland. But overall I totally recommend this restaurant.

Nice Wiener schnitzel with fries

Very good restaurante in the city center of Ulm. The food was great and the service was good.

Located in a traditional old German building (Fachwerkhaus) with a mill wheel at the side the restaurant "Zur Lochmühle" offers great swabian food at it's best. The quality of the food is always great and the quantity is huge. Very recommendable if you want to taste local food in a cozy atmosphere. The service staff is friendly and fast, but most of the time two people do the whole restaurant, so when it's crowded, just relax and enjoy the beautiful mood of this location. Reserving a table is always a good idea though. This place is also a good choice for a long walk through the fishermen's quarter after lunch/dinner. We'll definitely come again soon! Update: Der Hackbraten taugt nix. Herrgott! Hackbraten kann man doch nicht im Kombidämpfer machen? Ohne den anzubraten, sieht der grausig aus und schmeckt nach nix, weil die Röstaromen fehlen. 🤷🏻‍♂️
