This restaurant was everything I hoped for and more! I read that it was delicious food in a homey and welcoming environment, so as a solo female traveler I thought it would be a nice place for my final meal in Madrid before returning home. It was perfect, exactly as I imagined! The sisters who own the place were perfectly hospitable and so kind the whole night, and we had wonderful conversations about the food (in the style of Rioja, where they grew up) and many other things. They were very patient with my grammatically "creative" Spanish. The food and wine were incredible - all very flavorful without being too heavy. I am so happy I came here, I cannot recommend it more highly!

One of the highlights of my time in Madrid. The two sisters are so welcoming and the food is amazing! I had borage for the first time and it was so delicious and unexpected. The oxtail stew was also incredible. It is also a really beautiful space. I'm so happy I was told to go there!!

The place is not easy to find, just a blind door in a small street. The two sister running the restaurant are welcoming, speaks French and English. The place was very calm (but there was quite a lot of French and we are quieter at lunch time than Spanish or English people) The restaurant has blind windows, which is surprising. The decoration is nice, with books and photo, painting on the wall. Air conditioning is working and is quiet. The menu offers a lots of variety and with a lot of unusual dishes. The one I choose were very tasty, didn't take desert because I had enough eaten, but the table next to me, French as well, made a warm praise for the deserts! I'll definitely come back this week ! Prices are between 10 and 20€ for all dishes (starter to deserts)

Pilar is the Chef and owns the restaurant with her sister Isabel, who serves the food. The food is ok but we had better meals in several other restaurants. Prices are on the steep side as well (for the food being offered).

This dinner was truly the best in Madrid - not only was the food incredible (oxtail and pork tenderloin were superb), but the staff really made the experience come to life. We ended up having a lovely conversation with the owner and chef, and they were both so personable and kind. I strongly recommend this experience for anyone looking for an authentic and intimate evening.

A great find, look no further! This small restaurant has it all - cozy atmosphere, very friendly and personal service, and impressive quality dishes (fine dining) from Rioja region. The dishes display careful attention to details not only in taste profile, but in texture and mouthful. The sauses are amazing and not greasy, so you don't feel heavy by the end of the meal. I agree with previous reviews that the chicken pate is extremely good, the best I had so far. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Our favorite restaurant in Madrid and an experience like no other. Sisters Isabel and Pilar are both lovely and make you feel like they're close friends who've invited you over for dinner. The food is good and wholesome every time, and there's no better price/quality in Madrid. Our go to place to take friends who are visiting. Highly recommended, you won't regret it!
