What a nice surprise ! We went to this restaurant a bit by chance. Mostly because it was not far from where we wanted to do our groceries shopping. We ended up going shopping much later than what we thought. It's small but with a good choice of dishes including a nice selection of petiscos (starters). We had, for two persons, the sopa de peixe (fish soup), the sande de leitão (pigglet sandwich), the medalhões de alheira (small cake of alheira, a traditional Portuguese sausage) and mexilhãoes a gallega (mussel with pepper, onions and spices). Everything was very good, the fish in the sopa de peixe was fresh. The base for the soup was probably a seafood broth which made the soup very tasty. It had a few leaves of coriander that really lightened the dishes without overpowering it. We loved it. The mussels were very fresh, not too cooked (like we like them) the sauce was spicy but not too much. The alheira was home made and delicious. The leitão in the sandwich was perfectly tender, the bread was very good and fresh it had a touch of the peppery sauce that is so crucial to leitão. It's the best sande de leitão that I have had. I really want to come back to taste the leitão alone (outside of the sandwich). Finally to finish, we got a pastel de Tentúgal with the coffees that was amazing. The owner(?)/waiter was perfect: friendly, attentive. The bottle of white wine that he chose for us was very good and not too expensive. Overall, for two, we paid a bit less than 40€, a very good quality price ratio. It was a very pleasant moment. I warmly recommend and we will come back !
