What a memorable dining experience! The ambiance is warm and inviting, the servers were friendly and attentive, and the the food was oh, so, good. The flameados - camarones al tequila and curry chicken were fun to watch be prepared and incredibly flavorful. We will definitely be back!

We love this old-school steakhouse. The owner, Armando, is a gem, friendly, funny, and helpful. His staff are seasoned professionals. Every meal we have had at this establishment has been enjoyable. The menu has a wide variety to choose from, and we highly recommend dining here when visiting San Carlos.

Very good food and service. You can't go wrong with this place. Really cute and eclectic atmosphere.

This was our first time eating at Blackie's. We both ordered the petit chateaubriand, it was seriously the best steak I've had in years. Armando prepared it tableside and it was cooked to perfection, so tender and flavorful. Armando was very attentive, even with multiple parties having flambe. We shared a flan for dessert. My husband thought it was too "eggy" but I enjoyed it. The vibe was relaxed, music was unobtrusive, just instrumental Mexican ballads. All in all a very pleasant experience. We will be back and will recommend it to friends.

Best hashbrowns I've ever tasted. Filled rich with butter. Also the bowl of fruit was very delicious as well. Everything really. Going to make this the place to go for breakfast next time we come back.

We've been in San Carlos for five days and this is the first restaurant I can finally give a good review. Food and service was great and that guy playing the piano made for a memorable evening. We'll be back tonight.

Would not allow service dog to stay in restaurant. Seated but told after a few minutes not acceptable. All credentials shown, but told support dog had to vacate. Staff where very professional adhering to house rules. Been here before and this is an excellent restaurant. Service, and menu very good. Food and presentation above average. Prices on the higher end for San Carlos but worth it. Kudos to the chefs and staff. Would be 5 stars if service dogs where considered.
