Restaurante Bocage

Great traditional restaurant as trattoria style. Not big expectations, but just truly good food served! Prawns with garlic was the best starter tried. Mains, seabream and sole cooked perfectly! Portuguese steak and lamb chops were also good! The waitress serving us was friendly! The special dishes to share can't be ordered on the day, pre order is needed!

I've been to Restaurante Bocage a few times and always enjoy the experience. The food is consistently good, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. I also appreciate their diverse wine list and the frequently updated menu. 🍷🍽️👍

Found this lovely restaurant down a side street and very glad we did. Food was fresh and tasty and we were served bread, butter and pate with olives and carrots to start. With the mains, we had a side salad and chips to share. Very good prices and staff were welcoming and kind!

Bocage works to a successful formula : good quality food at reasonable prices. A very busy Saturday lunch period. Glad we arrived at noon before the place filled up. They also have tables outside. Best to reserve if you want a particular time. Really enjoyed the Sole ( off the bone) served with boiled potato and steamed veg. €25. Good price when you see what a large Sole costs in the nearby fish market. The 500 ml house vinho verde (€6) went down very well !

Sorry to have wasted my time with the family tonight. After a reservation for six people we sat down being first arrival at the restaurante. Nobody come to our table for any service whatsoever for the next 20 minutes. We did not feel welcome and had to get up and leave. I will definitely not recommend this for any families. Amazing little restaurant- food brilliant - both the meats and the seafood - so good we came twice in a week and incredible value - 90 euro for family of 4 including wine - 10/10

This family restaurant with tradition and years of experience is very good. Good prices... And most importantly a good wine list. Friendly stuff to. 👍🏻

Delicious traditional Portuguese food with friendly staff. I've only eaten outside and was surprised as cars drive by. Completely safe and clean.

The food was spectacular. Its traditional Portuguese and not a fusion. The service is great as well, I recommend reserving before coming. It's a family owned business small and quaint.
