Did not have a great experience here. It took forever for the waiter to come and take our order. When I ordered a beer, it again, took way too long and and he seemed slightly annoyed and confused. There were only two other tables in the restaurant so it’s not as if they were super busy. We ordered the only two vegetarian dishes on the menu that weren’t listed under Pizza, and surprise, one of them was actually also a pizza just a bit thinner and named “churrascada”. Both dishes were ok at best. The eggplant was just covered in not very good cheese (i mean I love cheese, but come on..) and had a mound of fried potato’s next to it and the churrascada is basically a thin pizza. Maybe we came in on an off day, but I can’t recommend it unfortunately.

Great place! Good traditional food. Service was super attentive. Cat was very cute.

We ordered the pizza and meat sandwich. They are quite good. The service is very good as well! They have explained the menu very well in English despite we don’t speak Spanish! The terrace outdoor was a nice dining spot.

This café translates the vibe of Valparaiso. The food was what we were looking for. We haven’t heard about it before and it was recommended by the hotel where we were staying at. It was a Sunday night, and no many options to choose from, so we decided to give it a go, with absolute no expectations. All the dishes we had, felt like homemade and very authentic. The Machas a la permesiana (Chilean pink clams) were my favourite. Used to eat clams, I haven’t tried anything like this before. We also had empanadas and the pastel de choclo (one of the typical Chilean dishes), which was recommended by Daniel, the nice and very welcoming waiter, after we told him that we would like to try something from Chile. This cafe claims to be the first pisco sour bar in chile where the pisco that we had was sooooo good, that just before we left Valparaiso, with no more space for food in our bellies, we went back to it to have one last pisco. We have been to other restaurants in Valpo after that, but this is the one i will be recommending to family and friends when visiting the beautiful place. I Also would like to highlight the great service from all of the team, but specially from Daniel, which was extremely friendly and gave us a list of places that we should visit, which we religiously followed. Oh and the music is just what you would like to listen when eating. Perfect vibe.

Nice place to stop by for lunch or dinner. The backyard is pleasant place to dine in. Machas con parmesan delicious, wine average, empanadas de mariscos nice. Descent prices.

Fantastic and filling -- highly recommend the sopapillas, corn and meat dish, and the beef sandwich is the best I've ever had -- and there are SO many vegetarian options!

This restaurant has a cool vibe and great music. We went on Christmas Eve and they were very flexible when it comes to vegan options and said they could make every vegetarian dish on the menu vegan by using vegan cheese. I had the stuffed zucchini which was great and I loved the vegan parmesan on top that tasted like real parmesan.

Yelp
This was pleasantly busy on a night when other places were either full (uncomfortable) or totally empty (differently uncomfortable) The service, food and drinks were all winners. She had rabbit and i had some wholesome quinoa fritters, and pisco sours all round. It was all pretty good. And Beatles albums played in the background.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by our B&B host as a place that served food all day from lunchtime. We got there around 3 and it was pretty much empty. The place is bigger than it looks and has several sections and a bar in the back. We sat in the front which has a long and narrow shape but right by the door was good for people watching. We had cerviche and house empanadas, both very good. They also have fresh juices in large glasses - the pineapple is foamy and delicious.

Yelp
Stopped by late on Thursday night for some drinks and desert. Service was great! Unfortunately, I ended up not loving the deserts we ordered. Would try again, though.

Yelp
Nice friendly ambience supported by amazing food. Had the clams with parmesan and the fried fish sandwich. Both so good had to come back the next night for healthy half slab of pork ribs in a skillet. Outdoor terrace inside, cool tables at the entrance. Stellar staff. Must go once!

Yelp
This is definetely one of my go to spots when I come to Valpo, to visit my aunt. They have their own craft beers that are Exclusive to their restaurant. Served into a chilled glass. What more can you ask for? Situated along trendy Avenida Arturo Montt in Cerro Alegre. By far the hippest part of Valpo. I love this place for many reasons. A couple years ago I had a great conversation with the Chef/Owner and he takes great pride in offering organic veggies and range free food to his patrons. He knew that it would be a challenge to gain a following but I can assure you this place has a steady flow of customers. I've met a good mix of foreigners and locals at this spot. There's quite an assortment of shopping and art shops along this street. I personally come here for the free Wifi, clean restrooms, beautiful decor and an excellent meal. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Many quirky/original/homemade dishes -- if you're looking for a traditional Chilean meal, this is probably not the place, but if you're culinarily adventurous, it probably is. Menu is entirely in Spanish. They do have English speakers who can explain the various dishes (and they DO need to be explained), but by the time they do all that explaining ... wouldn't it be easier for customers and staff alike to simply prepare a few menus in English? But hey, not my restaurant ... perhaps they don't get enough English-speaking clientele to make it worth their while. In any case, even if you're fluent in Spanish, you'll need some help with this menu -- unusual food in an unusual city. Friendly service. Can't comment on the bar, as I do not drink.

Yelp
The food here was so delicious and beautifully prepared with interesting flavors and fresh ingredients. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The interior has a very cool and relaxed vibe. I would come back here if I had more time in Valparaiso. We also had coffee, tea, and dessert which was all excellent.

Yelp
Excellent service. The patio in the back is a nice, shady place to sit on a hot afternoon. We started with drinks (yum) and used the internet for a while, then decided to stay for dinner, which was a good choice. We ate rabbit, fish, and osso bucco. The meat was especially tasty.

Yelp
Attractive restaurant, mediocre food. The goats cheese starters were fairly tasty. However, the main courses were disappointing. The rock fish - considered a cheap tasteless fish in N Europe - was in fact very bland, as was the accompanying cooked grain (mixed with a few diced carrots and cucumbers). The fillet steak was good but the polenta and two asparagus tips were unappealing. The desserts were an acceptable cake of dulce di leche and bananas, and a disappointing Grandma's cake (layers of oreo biscuits, fruit salad mixed with cake crumbs and a mousse, purportedly lemon). As one other reviewer said (in Spanish), the creativity of the chef sometimes seems excessive. Service was fairly good, as were the wines, but overall it was an unexciting meal and far from cheap.

Yelp
We ended up at this restaurant because we were dining kind of late with no reservations, and no one else would take us. The food at Vinilo was pretty good. I had the reineta, a flounder like fish. Service was slow but not outside the norm for Chile.

Yelp
Only had postres in here. Home made ice cream and home made chocolate cake together with mint tea is tasty combo. Unfortunately they don't have dessert wines yet. But the service is good and I like the decoration and music here.
