"Madrid's Chinese population tripled between 2015 and 2017, and that surge has been a boon to the international food scene; case in point, Casa Lafu. In the split-level dining room, outfitted with pleasing rice paper lamps and velvet chairs, Madrid natives and Chinese expats unite over hot pot dishes cooked tableside in bubbling cauldrons of stock. The menu also includes an encyclopedic variety of made-to-order dishes hailing from every corner of China. Sate your Sichuan cravings with chili oil wontons before gobbling up some Cantonese-style dim sum, or Shanghainese roast duck." - Benjamin Kemper

Very nice ambience, careful service and pretty and authenticity Chinese food. The best Chinese place I’ve ever tried in Madrid city center as a native person from China.

We were a large group wanting to have dinner and we had to wait 15-20 mins before any server could take our orders. Throughout the dinner service, the servers were clueless about the dishes and our orders. Whenever they brought us a dish, they didn’t even know what they were called… They were all over the place and lacked training imo. Some orders did not even look close to the photo in their menu. In the end, it was not a pleasant experience and I would not return. There are far better asian restaurants nearby that I would rather go to.

A good and authentic Chinese restaurant in Madrid. I came here twice already and the food and service has been consistently good. It's the most authentic I've tried (usually we don't seek out Chinese food in Europe because it's a lot better in California). However, this place is solid. I would however stay away from the vegetarian duck or just kaofu related dishes. They were way too sweet.

It's from personal experience. ● So the first impression of the restaurant was quite nice, clean and tidy . ● The appetizer were three cold dishes- green soybean, Chinese aubergine salad and braised/stewed meat. Must say the quality was not stable. The aubergine was yummy; the beans were just boiled without salt or additional spice; as for the meat, some people got them nice, some got something very dry and chewy, like old tree trunk. Since then all the dishes were NOT especially delicious, either only has chili taste, or black pepper flavor, or just soyasauce. Some are super salty. Fish was fried but only had the fried bread and skin, barely have fish… etc. I felt sorry to my guests. ● As to the service, in general was fine. People were friendly and offered professional suggestions to the customers. Yet, the table was constantly dirty and FULL of plates and finished dishes. It's not like we are so picky. We just ended up sitting there talking drinking with all the finished dishes and cups. Hm... people said the hotpot was nice there. But I would probably NOT go again.

It was my first time having hot pot and I loved it! This place has a feel of fanciness but isn't too much. I went with my Chinese friend so she showed me how everything worked and it may be harder if you don't have anyone that knows that type of dish but the food was good and they have plenty of other dishes. It is a fun experience !

Good Chinese traditional food. It seems popular as well. The quality of food was ok compared to the price. The quantity is good as well. We had dumplings, a noodle and 2 main dishes and it was enough for two people. The hot pot is a good option as well.
