Restaurante Casa Luna

Truly enjoyed our dinner at Casa Luna, stunning and cozy atmosphere with really good food and drinks. The portion sizes are rather generous, freshly cooked and very tasty. Mezcal & Tequila cocktails were innovative and tasty. I opted for the 1 lb Argentinian Steak, perfectly grilled, outstanding flavour. Overall, I would highly recommend choosing Casa Luna Restaurant for a meal. Special thanks to Alex, who provided a very attentive and natural service throughout the evening.

Walking in you will notice a boutique to your right, with leather handbags and another one that extends over with furnishings. The building is in an hacienda that has been converted to a restaurant. The main part of the restaurant and dining is what looks like the courtyard. Inside the courtyard are these beautiful sculptures of trees collaged together with smaller pieces of raw wood. Each tree was beautifully decorated, adding to the atmosphere. The bar that served us had a beautiful fountain. Along a large tiled wall that also added to the atmosphere. The restrooms were well attended. The service was extremely attentive, anything left on the table that didn't need to be there was quickly removed. All of the food looked beautiful and tasted wonderful. Honestly, my favorite item was the tiramisu.. My entree was chicken mole which was enjoyable but a little dry on the chicken because it was chicken breast. My husband had lengua which he said was perfect. Appetizers were the sopes and guacamole, which was a delicious meal in itself. The cocktails we had were wonderful. During our meal, we had the opportunity to see a live band, a group of five women who sang with soothing old and new songs. At the end we received with our check adorable mini paletas to take with us. We loved our experience here.

So glad we had lunch at Restaurante Casa Luna. I had seen several videos by travel influencers and many recommended dining here and they were right. The interiors are beautiful and very relaxing compared to the busy pedestrian street scene of Tlaquepaque. Very professional and attentive service matched by the outstanding culinary artistry from the chef and kitchen.

Food/Drinks: We each ordered a cocktail and it came in a pretty coconut shell that was carved with a design. The drinks were tasty. We were given chips & salsa as a snack. We did not order any food, but we did see other people’s plate, and it looked delicious. Looking at the menu, the food is on the pricier side, but you can tell once you step in since it’s a fancier restaurant. Service: good, friendly Atmosphere: Walked by and saw how pretty it was, so we had to stop by. It was Friday around 1pm and it was empty, but it filled up very soon after! Towards the end of our visit, a 4-person band set up and was playing some jazz music. The restaurant is very large and can accommodate large parties. Best part, they are dog friendly!

This was recommended to us by friends and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely restaurant that they decorate beautifully Food and drinks are good and service is attentive. They also had live music on the day we visited, it was fantastic.

Amazing restaurant in Tlaquepaque! The decorations are stunning and make the whole experience feel special. For drinks, the cazuelas and cantaritos are a must-try, very refreshing. We started with the tuna with guacamole, which was delicious. For mains, we had the pollo con mole (huge portion and so good!) and the gorgonzola filet, which was also excellent. The waiters were incredibly friendly and attentive. We arrived early and got seated right away, but the restaurant filled up quickly, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel concierge! Amazing restaurant in Tlaquepaque! We were quite impressed at the staffs knowledge on every meal on the menu. Everything was exquisite!
