We have lived in Spain for 5 months now. I can speak Spanish and I am aware of and acknowledge the cultural differences in service between here and the United States. With that said, I do not understand how this place has the reviews it does - maybe it is all locals. There was certainly a difference in how tables were treated. Tapas for locals; none for us even after I asked. Super slow service for us while others who came after received their food in much shorter time. Now to the food, calamari was not tender. We used salt and pepper packets to season it: The shrimp were like a corn dog ie, the tiniest shrimp with gobs of undercooked breading. They forgot to bring our patatas but charged them on our bill which we had to ask them to remove. The atmosphere on the terraza is lovely if you like to be surrounded by abandoned, dirty buildings. The place was crowded and we wanted to love it but it was unlovable.
