Really disappointed with our meal here after reading some great reviews, one of which was in CN Traveller.
We had a reservation for 19:45 and when we got to the first floor there were only 2 other couples in the restaurant which didn’t provide much atmosphere. We were told by the waiter that it wasn’t possible to have any paella or rice dishes that they are known for as it would ‘take too long’ as a result of the restaurant being ‘fully booked’ and too busy during Semana Santa (we didn’t see another person arrive in the restaurant for the hour and 15 minutes we were there.
The gazpacho was very good as was the pork cheek stew (the daily special), but the chips were a very disappointing portion size for €8 as were the Lamb chops at €4.2 per chop, they were the smallest I’ve ever eaten (see photo).
Whilst our waiter was good and attentive, there were a group of waiters and waitresses standing around gossiping and staring at us whilst we ate, right behind our table whilst we were eating in an empty restaurant, void of atmosphere.
A frustrating and expensive experience given there are other places in the city serving much better food at half the price.
