If you’re looking for authentic, traditional food that feels just like home, this restaurant is an absolute gem. It has that timeless charm of a classic place that has been serving delicious homemade dishes for years, and you can taste the love and care in every bite. The star of the menu has to be the fresh fried calamari — hands down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor, they’re a must-order every single time. The rest of the menu is just as impressive, with generous portions, rich flavors, and that comforting homemade touch that’s so hard to find nowadays. The service is warm and welcoming, making you feel more like a guest at a family table than just another customer. A true classic that never disappoints — highly recommended!

We had a family dinner tonight here. We will stay just one night in Gijón and this restaurant is near our hotel. I will mention why I give only 1 star. Cons: 1. The waitress with the blonde hair was so rude in the beginning. We said we were 6 adults and 3 children, and she asked us to wait. After that she came to move the table with anger. She came with the menu and threw on the table for us to choose. 2. The food is very expensive. We paid €97 for 6 dishes, 1 water, and 1 cider. We paid €9 for bread which was not a good bread. A hard old bread we called. We ordered 2 garlic chicken and the quantity did not seem 2. 3. The food tasted not good or average. The garlic chicken was a chicken fried with garlic, not a garlic chicken like we thought. The chicken was so dry, oily, and salty. The garlic is over cooked. The order food (like fillets) was too salty. 4. The cider was not so good according to our taste. 5. A bit difficult to find a parking here. 6. The potato chips are oily too. Pros: 1. Good location which is in the city center. 2. Entrance accessible for wheelchair. 3. They accept payment by cash or card. 4. The place is quite big. 5. Free restroom. 6. Free wifi. 7. We must wear mask before entering. 8. The potato chips was ok. In the end of our eating, the waitress seemed so nice, but it did not change our mind about her attitude while we just arrived there.

Great authenticate food. Popular by the locals and not affected by the tourist attention at all. Although listed as opening St 8pm, kitchen opens at 9pm. So if you get there early, and don't want to drink, wander around a bit and make it back. It's worth it.

Visited Gijon from the US. This was the best fish soup I’ve ever had in Spain and amazing service.
