For a local quaint experience, this is the spot! Fantastic value for money, delicious food and great service! I had the sea bass and it was truly delicious. Thank you for taking care of our group. I cannot recommend enough!

Lamp chop Black Pork Sardines Octopus Royal Rice (duck) Lemon mousse Flan Chocolate cake Berry panna cotta Meringue with apples It was very very good and we had the best time! You can’t go wrong with ordering whatever you want! But lemon mousse was the star of the show for me !!

We stopped here during a tour and the daily specials were delicious! Luis made sure the vegetarian in our party had a good option and we all enjoyed his service. Trust him on his selection of your desert for the day. We did and were happy!

When we visited Sintra, we were guided to dine at Restaurante Central. This is one of our favorite restaurants during the time spent in Portugal this November! The food was fantastic, local cuisine that we enjoyed so much. The service was some of the best we had during our trip as well. This is a family owned business and you can feel the love not only within the atmosphere but in the food. Thank you for having us. We look forward to returning!

Cozy and sweet mom and pop shop. Lovely people and food! Feels like you're family. The food is authentic and the service is warm and kind. We were a family of 7 and Luis and his staff treated us so well and were so welcoming! The food is fresh and delicious! The bread is fresh and warm! For 20€ each, we each had wine, soup, appetizer, main, coffee AND dessert. They even treated us to an aperitif after the meal too. It was a pleasure dining here. Worth stopping here if you're visiting Sintra!

[Feb-2023] Good experience, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. The dish I ordered (braised tuna with mashed sweet potatoes) was great and well served. My wife ordered octopus fillets, which were great, but the tomato rice was a bit dry. I give it 3 stars because they had no chair for my 1 year baby.

Real home made delicious food!! The janquizinhos and bacalhau were really great! The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant isn't fancy, but if you care more about the food quality than the decoration, you will really enjoy this place.

I stopped at Restuarante Central while touring Lisbon + Sintra, and I’m so glad I did. The meals were not expensive and tastes so good! The bread was fresh and hot, the vegetable soup was so tasty, and my salmon was cooked perfectly! The rice pudding was decadent and delicious, and so was the local white wine. This is a must stop for anyone considering a delicious meal at a reasonable price. The staff was also great, and Luigi was attentive to our table and even said goodbye as we headed out. Great food and service!

Yelp
We took a day trip to Sintra and stopped into Restaurante Central for lunch with our tour group. This restaurant is family owned and is not a tourist spot which i loved. We all got the lunch special, I'm not sure what it's called on their menu. There were three or four different entrees, most of us chose the fish cake item (I don't remember what it's called) that was kind of like a humongous crab cake but with fish instead. Aside from our entrees we got, soup, salad, appetizers a dessert sampler and wine all for 20 euro. It was an amazing experience and such a great price! I think my favorite items were the samosas (possibly the best one i've ever had) and the cookie cake for dessert. The fish cake entree was so good, the fish was light and flaky and the texture of the cake was perfect. I'm so happy that our tour guide brought us to this local spot, these are the kind of experiences that make trips special!

Yelp
Really good seafood. Came here on a stop while visiting the area and it was a good decision. The staff are friendly and the food was delicious. I had the soup of the day and house wine and wasn't disappointed.

Yelp
Wonderful, authentic Portuguese food in a comfortable, unpretentious but inviting space. Our tour guide, Edgar, suggested this stop after touring Sintra & we all loved it. The prawn appetizer was succulent and seasoned well. Grilled octopus in olive oil sounded plain but was anything but. Local red wine was solid, fruity red & perfect fir our lunch. Attentive wait staff made us very welcome. Thank you fir a lovely lunch!
