Delicious fresh fish, we tried sea bream, perch and swordfish. In addition, brilliant desserts. Traditional Portuguese cuisine, atmospheric place and the best option for dinner in this area.

We had a wonderful lunch here. Very nice family owned restaurant in town. The food was delicious, especially the salmon, the black pig pork dish, and the coffee chocolate creme mousse. Staff and service was exceptional.

We went here for dinner on our way back from the beach and had one of our best dinners in Portugal. The owner, Luis took amazing care of us and made us feel super welcome. Now for the food…. everything was absolutely delicious. The couvert were rolls and tuna paté, freshly baked and homemade. We had two different seafood soups each for 4€ and what you get for that money is ridiculous. Full of perfectly done gambas, mussels, clams, everything you could want… I was blown away. Main course was their signature polvo (octopus) and bacalhau and both were spot on. The fish juicy and flavorful, but the octopus knocked it out of the park, best we‘ve ever had (!) and a huge portion at that, for around 20€. They understand price/value, let me tell you. Dessert was equally delicious. If you come here, you’re gonna have a good time. Do not miss out on this place when you’re in the Sintra area!

Easy to miss from the outside, but hunt this place out! It's Fabulous home cooked triditional food here, - good ingredients, well seasoned food that's well cooked & vasy tasty! Excellent friendly service & great value too. Highly recommend

Here is a GOLDEN TIP to the best dish “Carne estufada” is our absolute favorite of incredibly tender, slow-cooked beef simmered with carrots and a rich onion sauce that’s simply irresistible. Every bite melts in your mouth! Add to that the warmest, most attentive service from the amazing Luís, truly the kindest host in town! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We had a wonderful lunch at Restaurante Central during our day in Sintra. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentically Portuguese, served in generous portions. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service attentive and friendly. Luis, who helped us throughout our meal, was especially kind and professional, making the experience even better. Everything we ordered was well prepared and delicious, making it the perfect mid-day break in our tour. Highly recommend this spot if you are looking for a satisfying, authentic meal in Sintra.

For a local quaint experience, this is the spot! Fantastic value for money, delicious food and great service! I had the sea bass and it was truly delicious. Thank you for taking care of our group. I cannot recommend enough!

We took a day trip to Sintra and stopped into Restaurante Central for lunch with our tour group. This restaurant is family owned and is not a tourist spot which i loved. We all got the lunch special, I'm not sure what it's called on their menu. There were three or four different entrees, most of us chose the fish cake item (I don't remember what it's called) that was kind of like a humongous crab cake but with fish instead. Aside from our entrees we got, soup, salad, appetizers a dessert sampler and wine all for 20 euro. It was an amazing experience and such a great price! I think my favorite items were the samosas (possibly the best one i've ever had) and the cookie cake for dessert. The fish cake entree was so good, the fish was light and flaky and the texture of the cake was perfect. I'm so happy that our tour guide brought us to this local spot, these are the kind of experiences that make trips special!

Really good seafood. Came here on a stop while visiting the area and it was a good decision. The staff are friendly and the food was delicious. I had the soup of the day and house wine and wasn't disappointed.

Wonderful, authentic Portuguese food in a comfortable, unpretentious but inviting space. Our tour guide, Edgar, suggested this stop after touring Sintra & we all loved it. The prawn appetizer was succulent and seasoned well. Grilled octopus in olive oil sounded plain but was anything but. Local red wine was solid, fruity red & perfect fir our lunch. Attentive wait staff made us very welcome. Thank you fir a lovely lunch!
