I - The place
A typical tapas bar with a touch of cool and modernity. Quite spacious and clean.
II - The Food and mood
We only tried the pintxos and the dessert, but were left quite disappointed. After reading the reviews on Google I was expecting much more. The pintxos are quite fast-food oriented and don't have any special flavour. The morcilla was tasteless, only the shrimp on it was nice. Most of the pintxos consist in lots of average cheese melted on lots of different things, all loosing their flavours only to feel greasy. The food is mildly re-heated in a seemingly barely functioning microwave and most comes out neither cold nor hot.
The staff is fairly efficient and quick. However, of the three people serving tonight, all seemed stressed and exhausted. The first girl was visibly frustrated with us not to understand her immediately in the noise. The man was running between things, trying to smile but too busy and nervous to really offer much of a service. The last girl was the best, quiet, patient and efficient but also looking exhausted. It was painful to see them like this, but the experience was not unpleasant.
III - Anything special?
Not really. The raciones / plates looked much better than the pintxos after we discovered them, but I don't think we'll try them soon.
IV - Verdict
A spacious place where it's fairly easy to fit two to four people, more if planning ahead, with fairly disappointing pintxos but more promising plates. Staff is overall nice and quick but seems to need better management / organisation.
