My experience at Docas do Santos restaurant was very negative, both in terms of customer service and overall service quality.
We had a reservation for a specific time and, upon realizing that we would arrive with a slight delay, we informed the restaurant in advance by email. That email was answered by the restaurant’s team, indicating that the situation was acceptable and that the reservation remained valid. However, upon arrival, we were initially refused entry, with the explanation that we had exceeded the normal reservation time, which clearly shows a lack of internal coordination and respect for customers.
After communication between the staff member and the head chef, we were eventually seated, but the service that followed was rushed and uncomfortable, as if they were doing us a favor. The food was served in a hurried and careless manner, giving the impression that the dishes were almost being thrown onto the table. At one point, they even attempted to serve starters (prawns), main courses, and coffee practically at the same time, which is completely unacceptable in a restaurant service.
The staff member’s behavior was unprofessional, and the service provided was of zero quality. In addition, the food was poorly presented and did not meet expectations, nor did it justify the price charged.
