Restaurante Don Juan

First time eating here, and it was a pleasant experience. Beautiful restaurant and sitting upstairs offers great views and a nice breeze coming off the lake. The staff is very friendly and the service was excellent. The menu offers a wide selection of meals that should satisfy everyone. The food quality and flavors were outstanding, which justified slightly higher prices than other local places. The only thing that kept this from being a 5 Star review (which I only rate if everything is perfect) was that a few items were slightly cold. I informed the waiter, and this won't keep me from coming back. Everything else was top notch, and I'll change this review if it improves next time. The wife's breakfast Americano combo was very good. My chilaquilles were also, and the Skirt Steak was an excellent addition and value. I could literally cut it with my fork! Most tender Skirt Steak I've ever had! We'll be back!

Great location and service, good food Set right next to the lake, Restaurante Don Juan's atmosphere is somewhere between a tiki lounge and a contemporary gourmet restaurant, with spectacular views of Lago Chapala. This restaurant's upper floor gives it a definite edge where panoramic views are concerned. Service is warm and attentive, and the food on offer is of a high standard (lunch/dinner more so than breakfasts.) Prices, too, are fair, given the quality of the setting and what's on offer.

Service it’s ok, just don’t think you can come in here to celebrate a birthday cuz they don’t allow you to bring your cake.

Find food and wonderful View literally on the edge of Lake Chapala. A treat to have combination

I ordered chicken crepes and it was delicious. Green sauce was tasty and flavorful. The server was attentive. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Chapala.

Excellent service, right on the Chapala Lake. Great views of the lake. We had an excellent appetizer of queso fundido with chorizo, marlin tostadas, and shrimp empanadas. Entree's were grilled shrimps, shrimps wrapped with bacon, shrimp cocktails, and stuffed chiles (peppers). Very simple, casual; but good flavors!
