El Arriero is hands down the best steakhouse in Bolivia, and it’s been consistently the best for nearly three decades.
The staff are professional, friendly, and quick. Service is always on point.
The food is proper Bolivian parrillada. Simple, done right. The arroz con queso and the salad are incredible... probably the best you’ll ever have (make sure to add avocado to the salad).
The meat is where El Arriero really stands out. The picanha cuts like butter: juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked. They have the best chorizos and morcillas in Bolivia, and the Bife de Chorizo and Cuadril are always soft, juicy, and tasty. The parrillero clearly knows what he’s doing....After more than 10 visits, they’ve always cooked the meat perfectly.
The only area of opportunity for El Arriero is the space. The restaurant feels a bit old, small, and outdated for the number of people it attracts. That said, the food and consistency more than make up for it.
