This is a typical restaurant from the valley, the decoration is typical although I don’t enjoy it and the food is a swell known to be from this area. The food is really delicious but my score is 4 because there are not so many vegetarian options. The menu for example doesn’t have vegetarian option for the second plate. The service is very quick and you can tell they have experience. What i don’t enjoy that much was that the table behind us ordered pieces of meat to be cooked on a hot stone in their table. This cause that the entire restaurant was full of smoke making it quite unpleasant for some minutes

The food was OK, although we found the prices high for what it was. The restaurant was very noisy, we were a group of 10 people and it was very hard to hear the people on the other side of the table. But what really annoyed me was the service and the attitude of the waiters. They were clearly disappointed because we only took a couple of menus and some dishes, and because we were probably not the customers they would have wished for. They therefore did zero effort to make the dinner a pleasant experience for us: each time we asked one of them for something, they answered that it was someone else's duty. The worst was when I tried to get the bill. We needed separate bills, as this was a professional dinner, but they did not even listen to me when I went to ask for it. Then, they complained that I had not asked for separate bills earlier... Overall it was not a pleasant experience at all. I come regularly to Benasque for conferences and they will definitely not see me in this restaurant again.

Lovely dinner in the heart of town! We had the chuletón de buey for 2! Got this huge portion of meat to cook on a hot plate and lovely serving of delicious chips! The dessert was also stellar quality! Highly recommended!!

Dining at El Fogaril was an outstanding experience in every respect. Charming mountain atmosphere (unless you have a problem with hunting trophies). My wife and I wanted to try local cuisine and not order the same-old-same-old. We started by splitting the Olla de Benasque, a rich bean and chicken stew that is perfect for the cold weather. The portion was more than generous and we had to leave some over to save room for our main dishes: suckling pig with a hazelnut praline sauce and a wild boar stew. Both dishes were phenomenal. The pig had the crunchiest crackling and tender, juicy meat. The wild boar had been braised and the sauce thickened with almonds. To say it was fork-tender is an understatement. The prices are kind of hefty, but they are justified by the portions and the quality. A couple could easily split one appetizer and one main and walk out satisfied.

Great first meal near Cerler ski. This traditional Spanish chuleton was delicious. I liked the restaurant decoration also, very traditional.

Terrible place! The waters are totally uncoordinated. I sat there with my wife and we had to wait almost 15 minutes for a waiter to come, even though it was still early and there was almost no one else there. We ordered our dishes and my wife explicitly stated she wanted the meat well done. 10 minutes later they come with her wine and her dish, but the meat was almost raw. They forgot my wine and 40 minutes later my main dish came: it was cold as hell, as if they just took it from the fridge... The desserts also look pretty much like the ones you buy in the supermarket. There was nothing fresh there. After the meal we had once again to wait for a waiter to be able to pay. I got tired of waiting and went to the waiter to tell him personally I wanted to pay. The experience was a nightmare! And a very expensive one!
