Restaurante El Gallo Azul

Don't eat here if you're hungry! The portions here are small, even the full size portions are only the size of most other tapas dishes found elsewhere. The service was rubbish. The waitress tried to remember our order but forgot most if. Our starters came at the end if the meal after several repeated reminders. We were the only people in the restaurant but it took a long time to get any food at all. When it did arrive, the food was really nice, which is the only reason I gave 3 stars. There are much better places just a few yards away from this place. I recommend going there instead.

The torrija was a disappointment but not horrible. Also they served us the hazelnut ice cream instead of the dulce de leche ice cream which we ordered. Lucky no one was allergic. Staff is nice, atmosphere good.

Came here to try some wines of Jerez. Good service, good prices

Fantastic place to see and feel Jerez at it's up most social being. Saw this establishment during are day of sight seeing and had to experience it and was not disappointed. Great tapas and fabulous service and just steps away from shopping to your delight!

Nice atmosphere, but service fell short. The Aperol Spritz was way too sweet with hardly any prosecco. We waited over an hour and our jamón ibérico never arrived, though we were initially charged €26 for it (later removed from the bill). Ordering was difficult due to understaffing. The place has potential but needs better service.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Great location on the square, which was crowded with people and some street artists. Service was horrible and borderline rude. Didn’t have food because it took about 20 min to even get a drink. Servers seemed very put out to help us. I would understand if it was overwhelmingly busy, but their crowd seemed manageable. They seem to do well because of location, but finding a spot a little further off the main thoroughfare was a better experience.

The location is great but the service is horrible and the food really greasy. I have been there twice this time because of the location but I won‘t come back as the staff is extremly unfriendly and ignored me all the time. I waited for at least 10 minutes until I could order. There was no nice word, no smile… When I asked for the bill I was waiting again for a long time while she was cleaning the table and chatting with her colleague. I had to go inside to pay. If tourists are not welcome then put a sign outside. We can spend our money somewhere else. But don’t treat us like rubbish.

Beer and BAILEYS are quite cheap, see the photo. Amazing old bulding, decoration, very cool toilette. The reason I didn't give 5* is the beer measure. A quarter of the measure was foam. Meanwhile Spanish guests had their beer glass filled with beer, not foam.
