I went with my wife and parents and we enjoy lunch in this small, cozy, colorful restaurant. The food is traditional with a modern touch, big portion and an amazing dessert: croquetas de chocolate!

An excellent choice for sampling the dishes of the region. Don't let the scruffy exterior put you off. Step inside to discover "the secret place" a tiny but inviting restaurant with vivid and fantastical murals that will likely intrigue and amuse. The staff is gracious, attentive, and accommodating. The menu provides unique and lively dishes that clearly have been thoughtfully prepared. Be sure to check out the chalkboard for daily specials that provide a taste of the local cuisine. We were pleased with the selections we made from this menu. Save room for a glass of Resoli—a traditional liqueur from the city of Cuenca made with coffee, anís, cinnamon and orange. It was an interesting mix of flavors. English menu is available on request.

The food was pretty good, service was kind and the place itself is nice too. Not the cheapest meal in the city (I think the appetizers make the bill go up quickly), and I was a bit annoyed to pay for cover as I barely touch the bread and the kind of pâté that was on the table. But still, I enjoyed my meal so I guess I still recommend it.

A small and cozy restaurant away from the main square of Cuenca. It serves a mix of mostly local Spanish food. We ordered three dishes and they were all delicious. While it does not command the best views in town, it certainly features some of its food. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. Highly recommended.

Very good food, the best I have had in Spain so far. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality of the food. The professionalism and helpfulness of the staff is also of a very high standard. The decor is very modern for a restaurant that is in such an old and historic building.

Great ambience and excellent food and wine. Would definitely recommend if you're in the old town. Share some starters and had the 'deer' for a main. My wife said the steak in truffle sauce was stunning. The chocolate brownie was the best I've had for years.

Nice cosy and trendy looking restaurant. The interior design is very artistic and contains interesting contemporary art work. The staff are very welcoming and polite and very attentive. In terms of the food, there is a nice selection of foods to suit your tastes, ranging from typical Spanish food to nice simple and tasty dishes. The food is excellent and by far the best I’ve had out in Cuenca. (And I’ve tried a few places...!) Highly recommend.

Just fantastic and exceeded all our expectations. This is equal in quality and prices to our local La Perla Restaurant in Bonalba Golf Resort, Mutxamel, Alicante. Why can't all restaurants come up to these high standards. A terrific night, superb food and charming staff, just mind blowing!!!!!

Yelp
I'm coming back here before I die to visit my friend Luisa the owner. She stays open until the weee hours of the morning until no more customers come in. The secret salad is truly outstanding. The homemade desert pictured below is a real treat even with the wines of the land.

Yelp
Definitely one of the highlights during my recent trip to Beautiful Cuenca. Was pleasantly brought here due to the yelp reviews and so glad we did! The restaurant is located on the Old Town of Cuenca, so be ready to climb up that hill! We had to wait about 15-20 min to be seated but was offered wine and tortilla espanola (spanish omelette) while we waited. The restaurant is very unique when it comes to their decor, inviting and appealing to the eye. Now onto the important stuff..the food! We shared an appetizer which was zucchini filled with goat cheese , so nicely done! it was very fresh and tasty. For entree, we ordered the Seafood rice. It's a soupy rice cooked on tomato broth with Shrimp, Lobster and fish. That dish is definitely a winner and big enough to share. We didn't have enough room for dessert but if we are ever back in Cuenca, will definitely be back to try some more of their dishes! The owner was at the restaurant and was very nice and warm, as well as the staff.

Yelp
We enjoyed a wonderful meal here on our last of 3 nights in Cuenca. The beautiful artistic interior was our first hint of the artistry to come. Such an inventive menu! We shared the artichoke appetizer- delicious. I can't imagine 1 person eating it alone. It is quite large. The salad with shrimp was fantastic; a nice balance of sweet and savory. We sat near the window and the view of city below is great. Put this on your list and climb the hill to eat here. You will be happy you did!

Yelp
Fantastic. Some of the best food I've had thus far in Spain. Try the duck! The boar stew was also fantastic, the atmosphere is great. Am seriously considering coming back today.

Yelp
Very spacious restaurant with great decor and atmosphere, food was amazing, highly recommend the deer meat. My only complaint is that the serving portions are a little small.

Yelp
Very inexpensive and delightful food. Pisto with local cheese is a very nice starter and the stew is very tasteful too.
