Restaurante Fridas - La Antigua Guatemala

The food was just ok. Nothing exciting. The soup was good though. The food waiter sucked. He wouldn’t let us move tables even though upstairs was completely empty. I said no pork on my food and it came with pork and they gave me some trouble when I wouldn’t take it. Otherwise the live music at 830pm was well worth. For this price, you can definitely find better food and service.

I thought the food was okay, possibly I ordered wrong. The shrimp tacos were highly recommended, but I felt it lacked flavor. My husband on the other hand had the house tacos and that was filled with flavor and very very tasty! We also had a soup similar to a tortilla soup and it wasn’t tasty. We went on a packed night but the service was still very good our waiter was very attentive and I don’t think we waited a long time for our dishes. Lastly, the very hot sauce was one of the best I’d have - would definitely return for it.

This place has become a regular spot for us! Absolutely love it! Great food, deals, and atmosphere. The host Dulce is always so smiley and helpful! They have live music there sometimes too. Can’t recommend enough!

The food is delicious, including the guacamole appetizer and salsa and chips. I especially liked the house made mole. Service was slow but we were not in a hurry.

We had an excellent experience with the service! While the language barrier posed a small challenge, the manager went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of, which we really appreciated. We came for happy hour and unfortunately missed the live music, but we’ve heard it’s a fantastic time and will definitely plan to catch it next time!

During our three night stay in Antigua, this was my favorite dinner. To this Mezcal newbie, I thought their house glass was really tasty and fun. I had the Limoto Poblano Al Mezcal for my entree- wow. Perfectly cooked and something I’d order over and over if I could. Our server was really friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was fun (we sat on the top level) with live music.

We ordered the Nordic Taco, for two persons. It was definitely enough food. I think the crew got impressed that we finished it. The food had good quality and taste!

We had a nice lunch. Liked the Mezcal cocktails. Entrees and tacos were decent with a sweet pineapple twist and a nice selection of spicy sauces you can add to it. Rather quick preparation. A bit on the pricy side.
