We had an excellent experience with the service! While the language barrier posed a small challenge, the manager went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of, which we really appreciated. We came for happy hour and unfortunately missed the live music, but we’ve heard it’s a fantastic time and will definitely plan to catch it next time!

We loved everything about this restaurant: the food was delicious, the ambiance was top notch, and the service impeccable. The waiters were never too far off if we needed something and even made us aware of specials in the restaurant and in the area. So good we visited twice in our stay in Antigua which is saying a lot because there’s just so many places to eat around here. Highly recommend getting the jarro grande de Frida, you get a delicious margarita or Paloma and you get to take the cup home as a souvenir or gift. We had the tacos both times, once with birria and once with pollo chipotle and everything was SO GOOD! Our waiter was Alex and he was AMAZING!

We had a nice lunch. Liked the Mezcal cocktails. Entrees and tacos were decent with a sweet pineapple twist and a nice selection of spicy sauces you can add to it. Rather quick preparation. A bit on the pricy side.

This is one of my favorite meals in Antigua in this trip. I ordered the steak fajitas, soooo yummy and tender, and it is very affordable. Portion is not very big, just right for me. We also ordered the shrimp ceviche toasts, it is also yummy, highly recommend.

If you're looking for a nicer dine in authentic Guatemalan foodie experience that is in the heart of the tourist district Restaurante Fridas is your place. The Arch is directly outside the restaurant! Iglesia de la Merced is only a minute walk. Go and take your photos while you're waiting for your food! Can't get any better than that. PS If you ask for a side of chips, they will bring you fries. Coming from USA, now I know. Lol. Even though I wanted tortilla chips I ate the fries and they were delicious. Not mad at all. 😃

Busy Mexican restaurant almost underneath the famous Arco de Santa Catalina. Maybe a bit pricier than a lot of other restaurants but the quality of ingredients where outstanding and justify the slightly higher prices. The tacos and ceviche was outstanding and some of the best we ever had. Enjoyed also their cocktail menu.

We had 5 different plates that were very well presented and very colorful. They were all very tasty.

Great lunch on an amazing day trip to Antigua. Get the special margarita that gifts you the Frida’s mug. It was strong enough to get me all the way back to the US
