The staff here was incredible—friendly and spoke English, which was a huge plus while exploring Belo Horizonte. The restaurant itself has such a beautiful vibe, and their back bar is not only cute but seriously impressive when it comes to mixing drinks. We arrived early and relaxed at the bar, which set the tone for a great evening. The appetizers were amazing—so good I was nearly full before the mains even arrived (no regrets, lol). I had the oxtail, and while it looked small at first, it was surprisingly filling and full of flavor. We also had a lovely chat with the main host—super warm and welcoming. All around, a fantastic spot with great energy.

A Culinary Gem in Belo Horizonte – Glouton Exceeds Every Expectation Why this restaurant doesn’t have at least one Michelin star I do not know. From the moment we stepped into Glouton, I knew we were in for something special—but nothing could have prepared me for just how extraordinary the experience would be. The service alone deserves a standing ovation. Rafi, the head of house, welcomed us with genuine warmth and an attention to detail that set the tone for the entire evening. Her passion for hospitality radiates through every interaction. And then there's Raynara, our waitress, whose charm, attentiveness, and knowledge of the menu made the night truly unforgettable. Both of them went above and beyond to ensure every moment felt personal and perfect. And the food? Simply put, it's culinary artistry at its finest. Every dish was a masterclass in flavor, balance, and presentation. The ingredients were fresh, the combinations bold yet harmonious, and each bite a reminder of why Glouton is celebrated not just in Belo Horizonte, but throughout Brazil. I’ve dined at many renowned restaurants, but Glouton stands out as an experience that lingers in the best possible way. Without a doubt, it is the best restaurant in Belo Horizonte. If you're looking for impeccable service and world-class cuisine, this is the place to go. Looking forward to going back again in a few days.

Finally came to this place after a whole year wanting to come. (I’m Mexican) so you can imagine the travel…. I saw this place on one of Anothony Bourdain’s episodes and I knew I wanted to come an experience it. Hands down! It’s delicious, the atmosphere, the people, the food and geez… that creme brûlée. 1000/10. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience a francominero cuisine. Regarding the price… I found it it be affordable considering the level of service and quality. We paid $86 dls for all you see in the pictures I’m sharing. Would be coming back!

Had the course menu experience. snacks were not good at all. I expected at least pao de queijo to be warm. the best course was bak choy with butter reduction and fish. I had the experience at salon where I had a group of 4 ladies just half meter in front of me screaming while they spoke.

We made reservations for 7pm. The restaurant contacted us on the day of to say that if we are 15 minutes late, our reservation will be voided. So, we arrived at 7pm sharp, only to sit in front because they did not open the doors until 7:10pm. Be ready and open at 7pm sharp!! The food was decent at best. This place is way too overpriced for what you get. Not worth it. Lower the prices and I rate it a 3 to 4 star restaurant at best.

10/10 experience! Nice ambience, chic interior and unique food/cocktail mixes. What made it made more special were the staff, especially Raphaela who was very professional and attentive.

Yelp
Fantastic spot in Belo! This restaurant is charming, it has a old aesthetic to it that makes you feel like you're sitting in someone's home. I certainly adored it. I came out with my coworkers and we enjoyed everything that we got the drinks were fantastic. The appetizers were so good that we had to order seconds and everybody's entrée was divine. Our favorites are the duck dumplings, the pork belly, octopus Entrees we love the shrimp gnocchi, cod, tuna, oxtail. Service here was top tier. Thank you team at Glouton

Yelp
There are no words to describe Glouton, but I will try!!! Innovative, while staying authentic. Surprising, however simple. Classy with that Mineiro welcome that no one can replicate. It was our last night in Brazil, and we were able to get a last-minute reservation at the chefs table. To say that I was ecstatic is an understatement! The food was everything I expected and so much more. It was a great way to close our vacation to my beloved Minas. I can't wait to be back!.

Yelp
Glouton is my favorite restaurant in all of Brazil! My classmates likewise enjoyed the food here so much that we returned to the restaurant multiple times throughout our stay in Belo Horizonte. Rafa was the only server who spoke English, but she always took care of us well. The dishes Glouton serves are contemporary, blending French and Mineria cuisine together. I would wholeheartedly recommend trying out the snack degustation to taste a variety of interesting flavors. "There are not enough stars in the sky to rate Glouton." ~Classmate 1 "My greatest fear is that I will never reach Glouton again. It is the only place I will ever be happy." ~Classmate 2

Yelp
Glouton is one of my favorite restaurants from all I have already been. I'm kinda bias to talk about food from Minas Gerais, but it is one of the few restaurants that brought sophistication to the beautiful ingredients of Minas Gerais. The Brazilian cheese envelopes (pastilha de queijo Canastra com mel) is an excellent start (4-5 stars). I had the pork neck as the main course (4.5 stars), and I really enjoyed it. The meat was very well cooked, though the flavor was very subtle. The orange sauce went well with the meat, and the mandioca was very good. The service is really good (something very difficult to find in good restaurants in Brazil) and the ambiance is great, but it is a small place, so could be kinda hectic when it is crowded.

Yelp
Glouton is a delicious option for high end French-Brazilian food. It was my first visit and I was really impressed with the creativity and skills of the chef. The service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed. They deserve 10 extra stars for not charging for water like every single restaurant in Brazil. We started with the octopus pintxos. They were generous octopus pieces, on top of little potatoes, drizzled with olive oil and paprika. The octopus was tender inside with a nice crust on the outside. Perfect texture and flavor. I would order that again. Then I had the papada de porco com mil folhas de mandioca. (Pork jowl with yucca millefeuille) Again, pleasantly surprised. It was was a cylinder shaped portion of super tender pulled pork and a rectangle of finely sliced yucca in layers. Both very flavorful. I tasted my friend's shrimp with curry and squash ravioli. The shrimp were huge and were perfectly cooked. The sauce had a hint of curry but not too strong, more like a vadouvan. I will dream about this dish for a long time. Dessert was brioche pain perdu with raspberry sorbet. The brioche had a moist center with a caramelized crust. The sorbet was made in house and went really well with the brioche. All the portions were generous and beautifully presented. A feast for the eyes and palate. They have an open kitchen ant it was fun to see the action and the dishes coming out. Totally recommend this place.

Yelp
We went to upscale Glouton for a celebratory dinner and it was very enjoyable. Food: 4 stars. We started with the Brazilian cheese envelopes with honey. Lovely. Main 1 was the widely praised pork neck. Super interesting cut and well prepared. Unfortunately, we found that the dish lacked flavor, and the separate parts didn't gel very good. There was little sauce and we struggled to discern the orange in it. The mandioca had an interesting and unusual cheese taste. The sweet potato was also nice, but only individually. Main 2 was the lamb shoulder, which was quite game-y. The meat was super tender and combined excellently with the other parts of the dish. Presentation of the dish was a bit odd with all food covered under beet crisps. For desert we had the creme brûlée. Simple but well done. We drank a red wine from Minas Gerais, one of the less expensive bottles on the varied wine list. Quite good, as we had hoped. Great nose; initially a bit tight but opened up as temperature rose. Service: 5 stars. The service was very good. The host at the entrance was professional and friendly; our main server was relaxed, happy, knowledgeable, and prompt. The sommelier had lots of details on our wine of choice. Ambiance: 4 stars. The space feels a bit cramped and hectic with waiters buzzing by all the time. It was full with patrons so it got a bit loud. We sat on one of the smaller hardwood tables in the alley that leads to the back; cozy but poor lighting (they had run out of batteries for the electric candles). When leaving, the sight of waiting parties standing and socializing in the entranceway directly adjacent to one of the tables wasn't great - would have been a turnoff if that was our table. Definitely a nice place but based on this first experience not totally wow. Nevertheless, happy to come back in the future and try a few other dishes.

Yelp
This is a very decent restaurant. Nothing amazing, but the food is good and the staff is kind and attentive.
