Great restaurant in Santillana Del Mar Every dish is prepared when ordered. Nothing is pre-made. Restaurant is small reservations are suggested it opens at 8pm Is full within 30 min. Friendly service.

Incredible quality, incredible service, extremely generous portions. The daily menu price is absolutely fair considering it comes with an entire bottle of wine. It’s rare to find such a comforting, genuine, and beautiful restaurant in the middle of a bustling tourist destination. Absolutely dine here if you’re staying for lunch or dinner.

Best steak I’ve ever had! Friendly service, good food, good ambience

Outstanding restaurant! The best one in Santillana Del Mar. Family operation. The father is the chef; the son and mother work the tables. Fresh food. Generous portions. Relaxed but not too loud. You can enjoy a leisurely meal. Go! You won’t regret it. The steaks are especially good. We ate there twice and the second time requested our steak well cooked and shared the meal. Because as I mentioned before, portions are on the generous side. “Well done” still meant some red in the center whereas the medium steak the day before meant quite rare so don’t be afraid to ask for well cooked. The calamari appetizer was outstanding and the desserts are out of this world, especially the sponge cake. Everything, including desserts, are made in-house with obvious pride. We hope to eat there again one day.

This is a very traditional family style restaurant with a small seating capacity of about 10 groups at a time. It is highly recommended to make a table reservation if you want to dine here. The waiter was very friendly and explained everything about the menu to us in detail. We ordered the menu of the day, which consisted of a starter, a main course and dessert. They also offer complimentary bread and drinks if you order the menu of the day. For starters we chose the Seafood Soup and Sailor's Risotto, and for mains we chose the Stewed Wild Boar Cheeks and Entrecôte. All of the dishes were delicious and full of flavor without being overly salty. The price was 28 EUR per person. It is very rare to find a restaurant in a small town that offers this quality of food. It's a great way to innovate on tradition without losing interest in the dishes.

Chose to eat lunch here on our daytrip to this unmissable village. What a great choice! We shared a salad of lettuce hearts with ventresca to start then my wife chose grilled vegetables-a fabulous selection of beautifully prepared vegetables and I chose the sirloin of beef with pepper sauce. Both were delicious. We chose a well priced Protos crianza and water to accompany the meal. We just about had room for a shared cheesecake with bluberries, yum yum. The whole meal was superb- buen comida, buen ambiente y buen servicio from Carmen, una de los duenos. Pienso que es solo ella y su marido (el chef) pero son una equipo muy eficiente y amables. We were travelling as a family of 3 adults and this was recommended to us by our hotel. Couldn't be more pleased with our choice. The food was good, the portions were quite large, and the service was great. Don't normally recommend too many restaurants, but this was one of the better meals we had in nothern Spain.

Amazing food and amazing service. A little pricier than the restaurants next door but the food was so good definitely worth the price. Set menu comes with 3 courses, wine and bread. The seafood soup is mind blowing and the wile boar cheek is tender and delicious! Definitely something to visit again.
