Restaurante La Casa De Las 5 Puertas

Fairly good restaurant in Pontevedra city center. Good products, nice atmosphere, good wine selection, friendly staff. Food is a little bit behind in flavours, taste or salt level, but in general good products, really fresh from local market. I will give it another try just to double check on this. Seabass salt baked was perfect, desserts where ok.

Enjoyed a family lunch after a recommendation from our hosts in Poio. A great place to enjoy delicious food in elegant setting. Service was a bit lacking but with only 2 waiter's for a full restaurant was perhaps the reason. Enjoyed all the dishes except the vegetarian Quiche.

The restaurant is good but not the best. The food is average - we tired the tortilla which apparently won national prise but I have definitely tired a lot better tortillas. This was was very “eggy” The scallops were over cooked but the sauce was delicious 🤤 and this “saved” the dish. It seems that they love pairing every main dish with rice … not very Spanish of them 🙈 The service was good, and the staff was very helpful.

Today we visited 5 Puertas for the second time this week. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent: Edel was v informative & professional, her companions too. The room was bright and spacious. The food was delicious again. We would both be v happy to recommend the starters & main courses. The cod salad was divine!!! Less so for the desserts. We ordered today the ‘medley’. Five substantial dessert portions arrived. Tiramisu was not the traditional type & not to be recommended. The flan, the cooked cheesecake were excellent. We wish the owners & more importantly the staff, continued successes. It would be wonderful if customers could silence their phones whilst in the resturant☘️☘️☘️

Huge menu in Spanish, beautiful restaurant interior i.e. lovely atmosphere, inexpensive for this Boston-area resident. Service was good in limited English and tried to help the customers. Delicious entrees

Everything was excellent ( except my Bacalao was salty), the waitress eas super friendly and helpful.

Top class restaurant. I have tried it several times and the ingredients and the cooking are amazing, at the highest standard, with a magic touch of Galician cuisine. The wine menu is mind blowing, with an excellent selection. The staff is knowledgable and super friendly. To me one of the best restaurants in Spain.

Very good and broad selection of entrees, fish and meat dishes. We ordered the "presa" and the meat was really tender and tasty. For dessert we had the cheesecake and it was also really good. Service was excellent and definitely worth paying an extra.
