13 Best Villas in Puerto Rico, From San Juan to Rincón | Condé Nast Traveler

"Rising from the Cordillera Central, La Casona is an eco-luxury hideaway suspended between mountain and sea on 3.5 acres where the open-air layout welcomes trade winds, a heated pool shimmers in afternoon light, a firepit warms dusk, and warm wood finishes plus books and games make for unhurried days; despite its secluded feel it's accessible via PR-152 and is ideal for families reconnecting or couples disappearing into the clouds." - Jessica Chapel

AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! Wonderful location, excellent ambiance and the staff was so attentive. For a Wednesday evening, we pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves. If possible, get the 'best' table. You are right inside next to the 200 year old tree in the courtyard. All the food was exceptional and we were serenaded by the guitarrista to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Do NOT miss the opportunity to have the dessert with the frozen mojito in it. I would walk back to Puerto Rico to eat it again!

Our wedding reception was here, 33 years ago. Today, celebrating Mother's Day, we were treated by the staff just as they did back then. There's places that one keeps coming back to, for great ambiance, food, wine, service, etc. Casona is one of them.

We really enjoyed this place! The atmosphere and service was lovely, and truly gorgeous. The best part about our time here was receiving a serenade from a Spanish guitarist for our anniversary. Unfortunately, we understood why the prices were so fair as there were a few corners cut with the food. The presentation was perfect, and what was cooked in house was expertly done. However, it became clear that not everything was cooked from scratch (the mashed potato and sauces for example), which is disappointing. I am positive that the peas and carrots in my ossobuco were initially frozen rather than cooked fresh. The veal was very tender, but half of my portion was fat. I believe my husband's was the same. Still, the wonderful service and atmosphere were enough to craft a very fond experience and we are glad that we got to spend our time here! I would still recommend this place. If not for the marvelous server and guitarist, I admittedly would have not awarded my fourth star. Just be aware that you are paying for the atmosphere, service, and presentation.

This is a gem of a place. A must visit. The staff is attentive, funny, and always meeting high standards. Call ahead, make a reservation. Food was great and the ambience wonderful. We had a gentleman playing Spanish guitar and the evening was perfect.

The place is beautiful and the staff is well versed and very friendly. You have to pay for water which is $5 a bottle which they don't tell you. The food is good food and good quality but for the price point I don't think it should of been as much as it was. It was nice and service was amazing though!!

My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. We were completely blown away by everything here. The food was absolutely exquisite; it’s different flavors and a unique twist to dishes we know. Our server was so wonderful and attentive; he found the perfect balance of attention and space, and he was knowledgeable and amicable. The place itself is so beautiful. I very much recommend going to the patio and outside part of the restaurant. We will definitely be returning. It’s a very beautiful place for a special occasion.

Owner is from Northern Spain 🇪🇸, tradition Spanish dishes, all perfectly done, from the freshly baked bread, to our octopus, salmon , shrimp, and dessert (they also have extensive chicken & meat dishes). Pretty atmosphere from every table. On our visit, owner Manolo greeted me and my 90 yrs. old Mom, opened the door, walked us to our table. Very kind & friendly, he took time to talked to us and encouraged us to see the beautiful gardens, which we did afterwards, they are a perfect setting for great pictures. Mansion is beautifully maintained.i will highly recommend it. Check site for menu & hours.
