Restaurante la Era

We sat outside with a sleeping baby, beautiful weather, 20 degrees and there was another couple eating outside. The waitress came to us after 10 minutes saying we can't sit outside because she is working alone and has lots of tables inside. I politely asked if we can order inside wait for the meal to be ready and then eat outside as inside it was too noisy and we wanted our baby to sleep and not to be woken up by loud environment. She arrogantly replied it wouldn't be possible. Even though there was another couple eating outside. When I asked why is that possible they can do so and we cannot, she pretended she doesn't understand. When we deciced to split that my mom will be outside without meal and I with my husband wanted to eat first, we found out she wasnt the only one working there, in fact, there were 3 of them working extremely slow. She kept staring at us but within 10 minutes she didn't even bother to bring the menu for us. Considering I worked as a waitress for over 10 years I would have never be so arrogant. We rather left to find another place to eat in.

Fish was cooked perfectly, lemon mousse was refreshing and a light but tasty dessert. Prices are fair and service is good. I am happy to return. One suggestion: The meal was delicious, though the presentation could have used a little more care and creativity.

The worst experience ever. A small restaurant but I would rather call it a bar. We ordered a fish soup but it looked like a chicken one with tiny noodles. We hardly found pieces of fish in it. It was served cold but after attention was paid, it was heated in the microwave. I had to drink beer from the bottle because they only provide wine glasses. They also forgot to bring mojo rojo so we had to ask again. There were only few guests so the BAR was not busy to make mistakes with the order. They also charged us for bread we did not order. The waitress explained that it is normal in The Canary Islands. We ate in different bars and restaurants and they never served us bread if we did not ask. The place is worn and it does not look very clean. There are 2 rooms but all the people set in a small one. Never again.

Wonderful place for lunch after visiting the salinas! It is an old house, surrounded by a beautiful and charming garden. The service is very nice and they will explain any doubt you may have about the traditional cuisine. They offer bread with garlic butter, and after we took roasted peppers and muscles. For sharing, following their recommendation, we tried the grilled pork which was tasty and soft. As dessert, we enjoyed a lemon mousse and coffee at the terrace. You can’t miss it!

Came recommended by our host, could not agree more. Fresh and from what I can tell authentic. The goffiomousse is not to be missed.

If Bar Parada is a must see and stop in Fuencaliente, La Era should be a second stop. Loved the food yet service was s bit hectic. Definitely will make part of my pilgrimage every time I'm visiting the point of the arrowhead.

Lovely small restaurant that offers lots of local dishes. The food was super tasty. Definitely will come back!

Very fresh delicious food . The service was great and timely . The cod and pork were beautifully cooked . Would return for sure!
