Restaurante La Gran Vía

As we were driving thru town, we decided to try this restaurant. Phenomenal! We ordered a Caesar salad for 2, they made the salad from scratch in front of us, amazing! Best salad I have ever ever had! The Paella was also excellent. Lots of history and lovely ambiance. If you’re looking for a high end experience, go there!

Great food, drinks, and also service was wonderful. Guess we went late dinner in Saturday night and place were empty, but yet again all positive at the end!

I can not say anything good about the food. The Caesar salad was absolutely flavorless. I've had better dressing out of a bottle. the soup was not to my liking. the paella was horrible with very dry fish. Like it had been sitting around for a day and with one small shrimp, one small clam, and a flavorless rice. Absolutely no saffron whatsoever. I've had better paella out of a package. The service was good. The bread was normal. We were very, very disappointed. the service was good, and i like the restaurant ambience. if you're looking for good food, go elsewhere.

Salmon was undercooked. They kept hiding the wine bottle, why?? Service could have been better, it wasn't a busy night

Food was good and the service was really nice. The ambience of te place is pretty good, we really enjoyed the piano music. The selection of wine was wide.

The finest dining experience in San Luis Potosi. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Food is unique and changes monthly. Try the house specialties for something different. Plan to spend some time relaxing while they prepare your dishes, as everything is done fresh and they do not skimp on quality.

This is San Luis Potosí's oldest fine dining restaurant. A must for a celebratory or romantic dinner. Expect a distinguished crowd

Worst Restaurant Experience in some time I took my wife here for Mothers Day after making a reservation due to the excellent online review (don't believe them). Our experience was terrible getting there at 7pm we were seated just after a family with 3 young children. We all sat in a smaller dining area that the AC was broken. We sat down and we're asked for our drink order and waited quite some time before that was filled. The service was lousy and after ordering our appetizer the waiter brought utensils out late but had to wait another 15 minutes to get napkins as they didn't have any clean. The food was so-so but not what you expect from this kind of restaurant and the poor family that was seated before us was served last which they were not happy about either. After a very hot evening and battling getting food and any service we were ready to leave and my wife went to the restroom and they didn't have any running water but just a pitcher for the sink. Makes you think how do they even clean dishes?? Not a great Mothers Day night out or any other for that matter....

Everything about this restaurant is outstanding. They outdid themselves on the food and service when I came for a private party. I can't wait to return!
