Where to Try Bandeja Paisa in Bogotá

"Take a gastronomic tour of Colombia at Restaurante La Herencia, a chic, country-style dining spot in Bogotá’s financial heart, which is often booked for special occasions. Its bandeja paisa is as classic as can be, based on a recipe from yesteryear." - Veronica Stoddart

Excellent spot. Super cute and comfortable with Colombian specialties. We came for the ajiaco, but it turns out if you come for breakfast, you can only order from the breakfast menu. Make sure you show up at the right time for any particular food you want. Yucca waffle: Crispy and chewy. A bit tough to cut with the butter knife, but delicious. Changua: Milky, creamy, and with tons of flsvor, mainly from the added cheese. Didn't have onions which I've seen elsewhere. Colombian sampler: Get this. Basically one of every appetizer, and they're all fabulous, as is the ají. Lemonade with coconut: Bracing and tart, the way I like it. If you want sweet, look elsewhere. Lemonade with yerba buena: Mild and minty. Also lovely. Service was friendly and attentive. Meal was leisurely and unrushed. Would repeat for lunch.

This restaurant is one of the best in Bogota and therefore in Colombia. Be ready and hungry, you won’t be disappointed

We ordered to share between 2 people: Ajiaco Soup,(33.5k) Cazuela Ranchera(37.5k) and Lengua en Salsa Criolla(42.5k). The waitress was super kind and proactively requested the kitchen to serve each dish in 2 separate plates.. so its like we got 6 dishes. Quantities are good to share between 2 people if you are choosing different dishes. We have good appetite so we ordered 3 dishes and we couldnt finish everything. Recommended. May not be the best but it is good.

The food was good, but I was expecting the chicharron to be crispier. Service was great.

Very nice restaurant to try Colombian food. Nicely decorated, the team was very friendly. A special mention to Mario, the manager, who was able to take the order in English and give recommendations. I found the chicken curry bowl particularly delicious. There is no doubt you will be satisfied and you won’t be hungry as there will be loads of food in your plate. I highly recommend this restaurant, thanks for this nice moment.

Friendly and polite service, good for and drink options. The food is tasty, but not extraordinary.

One of my Go-to places for Colombian food. It's not your typical restaurant, this one is high end. Prices are above average but the place is beautiful and the service and customer experience is also above average. For food, I love their appetizers.. make sure you try them.. ask your server to guide you based on your likes... Some food has lots of local produce and local beans and potatoes...this can be hard on those not familiar with "earthy flavors"... Their desserts deserve a special mention... try them... they won't disappoint. * very good for business lunch with foreigners wanting to try local dishes. * not casual

In our two days in Bogota, we came two times and would’ve come again if we had the time. The service is amazing; the manager was super friendly and speaks English which was very helpful. Traditional Colombian food but make it feel like its homemade by your grandma. Our favorite dishes were the eggs and pulled beef and the patacones.
