Fantastic Place!
This is the oldest restaurant in Tenerife, founded in 1893, and it's truly outstanding. For lunch we had the house red wine (house wines are almost always safe in Europe, unlike the US) and a complementary Amuse with rolls and two sauces. We started with Gambas al Ajillo (prawns in hot garlic oil) and shared this wonderful dish. For our main courses we had Grilled Calamari and the fish special of the day, Black Sea Perch. Both dishes were served with 6 small Canary Island potatoes and a whole grilled red sweet pepper. It was, admittedly, a large meal, but a real treat. For us, this was the very best the island had to offer. (We skipped dinner).
