Restaurante La Parada

The burger was great, the sizzling Churrasco was magnificent! Best food I had in Costa Rica so far. Christian our waiter was very friendly and polite. I love this place. I'm going back here tom :)

We ordered the soups (was a cold rainy day for us locals) and they were so filling and flavourful. Would recommend the ranchera soup- comes with chicken and lots of vegetables with a side of rice. The ceviche served with plantains is also really great! We also ordered two seafood platters and they were very filling with perfectly cooked steamed vegetables. Gin & tonics are awesome and the espresso martinis 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

The food wasn’t very authentic and the tacos and casados have been options for cheaper in walking distance. This place is aimed at tourists for sure. the service was good, and Christian was friendly and spoke great english.

Had a great meal and drinks at Restaurante La Parada in February 2025. It's a really nicely decorated restaurant with friendly, polite staff. We had a couple of cocktails while choosing our food (Caiparinhas - they were goooood), then chose the chicken tacos and shrimp tacos (with a glass of wine each). The food was delicious - I think the chicken tacos were marginally better than the shrimp tacos (but it's a very close thing). If we'd had longer in La Fortuna, we would definitely have gone back to this place....would recommend it 100%.

We had an incredible steak dinner here, thick juicy and flambeau’d at our table ! Wow! I also tried a strawberry mojito. Really nice little view of the La Fortuna Square. Super service, will be back. Gracias Chef Sergio!

Our service, Pilsner, location and atmosphere were great. The shrimp tacos were delicious but the pork chop entree was very tough which was immediately replaced.

Looking for a place to have dinner in la Fortuna we found this restaurant right next to the park, the food was not only delicious but served very quickly, the waiter was kind and attentive and the price was very good considering location and how good the food was! Highly recommended!

This restaurant is easy to find and kind of right in the center of town across from the park. I went earlier in the day for lunch and it was empty; however a few people were there when I left. The food was good and the passion fruit/dragon fruit smoothie good too. I did take a minute for the waiter to bring the check after he took my plate away; however, that is no big deal for me as I was enjoying the view and the weather.
