Beautiful building with rich history. I had buffet and all the options were very traditional with amazing taste. Coffee was also good. Our waiter was outstanding unfortunately I didn't catch his name but he was above and beyond service. Will defiantly come back anytime. Not a lot of vegetarian options but waiter was very accommodating trying his best to make it work, really appreciate it

This place is full of history! The hostess was very nice and took us on a tour of this place after our meal. The waiter staff was very nice and recommended a dish with arrachera (steak) and enchiladas, but the iron dish was too hot and was not cooling off. However, the steak was delicious! We also ordered pork with mole, but the pork came shredded and it was a lot plus the taste was not so great. So we ended leaving the whole plate. Either way, we had a great experience!

The manager made us an entire Cesar salad and dressing from scratch right in front of our eyes. It was delicious I almost cried.

*Las Monjas: A Historic Dining Experience** Las Monjas offers a unique dining experience in a beautifully preserved old nun convent. The setting is truly enchanting, and the attentive service adds to the overall charm. While the food is excellent, a touch of refinement could elevate the experience to a 5-star level. Despite this minor detail, Las Monjas remains a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable meal in a historic setting.

The service was amazing. I wish I got the name of our server. He was so kind and friendly. He was very helpful in explaining things in English. After our meal, he gave us a tour of the former monastery and told us of all the legends. The food was also delicious and beautifully prepared. We found the place by chance, and we were very fortunate. Great ambiance, food, and service!

I had formerly rated this as 5 stars, but today we had a very different experience. We arrived at 4:30pm for some coffee and pastries. The waiter actually invited us to leave and go to the bakery next door! We stayed and had the sausage soup and chicken enchiladas which were good, but our waiter had his back to us whenever we were trying to get his attention for coffee refills or napkins, etc... If you get coffee with breakfast, you'll enjoy free refills. But after 1pm, you pay $2.25 USD per cup. Of course that isn't written down anywhere. You only learn that when you receive your bill. The food is great. The prices are very reasonable. Unfortunately for us this time, we learned that having a good waiter can make or break your experience and our waiter clearly decided we weren't worth his time or attention.

This restaurant is located in a very beautiful and historic place. The decoration helps you travel in time and experience an original meal with authentic recipes from Queretaro's colonial era. The menu offers a delicious and wide variety of appetizers, soups, starters, entrees and desserts. The name of the dishes tells you a lot of the history behind of each recipe. Service can be a little slow, but always kind. Payment options are cash, debit and credit cards. Parking is challenging, but there are some public parking lots nearby.

Yelp
I would return to Querétaro just for this restaurant. The food was served buffet-style and was absolutely incredible! The servers didn't know much English (as is to be expected) but were super polite and patient with us as we tried to order! Even the chefs were polite! After our meal, I wandered around the restaurant a little bit and it is absolutely gorgeous! It was honestly more beautiful than some of the cathedrals we saw. The bakery section is also incredible. 10/10 stars. We will be back for more!

Yelp
This place was recommended by one of friends who lived in Querétaro. We were very impressed by the service and the quality of the food. We tried enchiladas and quesadillas with different sauces (salsa de moscas was the best) At the end of our meal, our waiter gave us a tour of the restaurant which used to be a convent. We went through the different rooms and got a good insight of the place. You will not be disappointed! When we come to Queretaro, we will come to Las Monjas.

Yelp
A great little restaurant on a side street in Queretaro's Historic Centro. Excellent service and the food was delicious. My entree Enchilada Callejeras was a tasty dish. Nice ambiance and friendly waiter.
