Located in Plaza Mayor, it's hard to distinguish Los Galayos from the other tourist traps in the flood the area. Luckily the food here is actually alright, though being in this area it won't be the cheapest meal you can get around.
There signature dishes are the paella and the suckling pig, so our group decided to order a paella for 2(40 euro, 20 euro per person), two orders of suckling pig(21 euro each), and an order of their braised oxtail to share(13 euro). Opinions:
Paella(3.5/5): We got Paella Mariscos, which was their seafood Paella complete with shrimp, clams, scallops. It would have also had fish but we opted out because one in our party had dietary restrictions. The Paella wasn't the best I've ever had; I would have liked it to be a little more seasoned and more heavily employ olive oil. The rice itself however was cooked well and the seafood that was incorporated was quite tasty. That said, for that price tag I would have still liked to see more seafood(there was probably one piece every 2-3 bites).
Suckling Pig(3.5/5): This was quite delicious. The skin was incredibly crispy, but the inside was still very moist. The downside? I was expecting an entire pig, but this was legitimately only the size of like, a leg and a thigh. And keep in mind this is a suckling pig so that's not a large portion for the price.
Braised Oxtail(4/5): Actually my favorite of the dishes. 3 generously sized ox tails braised to fall off the bone tenderness, paired with their potatoes which tasted great when combined with the braising juices that accompanied. At the best value at half the price of the other dishes.
The service was alright, though could have been faster(I blame our lack of spanish skills). A decent meal, though probably a bit pricier than it's actually worth.
