You must visit this bar. They serve wine in bowls for under 2€ with a tapa. There is a covered enclosed in ancient stone patio that you can have dinner. The service was great and full of locals.

Great local food. Octopus was very tender and flavorful, as we're the scallops. Steak was grilled perfectly!

O.M.G.... What a great restaurant!!!! The staff were all kind and friendly. They work really hard and seem to enjoy working there. Food was really great that I expected. It was my last dinner in Spain, and I was so happy that I came here.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! It’s not fancy, but it’s 100% gastronomical. The menu is a great mix of traditional Spanish foods with other gourmet plates. We had the most delicious fig and tomato salad, that was on the specials list. It had locals and foreigners alike. The waiter was super friendly, jovial, and very knowledgeable about the wines. He was happy to help and chat. We really enjoyed our time here. One of the best restaurants I’ve visited in Spain for an everyday meal. I recommend.

Very professional but overworked staff. Waiter kept forgetting things but he was really friendly and the food was great so it was nice experience overall.

I had a lovely dinner with a friend here and tried Galician style octopus for the first time. The service was friendly and the food was absolutely delicious.

Yelp
This was recommended to us by a local, it was delicious!!!! Traditional Galician food. Ee ordered the octopuss galician style, the percebes, the "tetilla" cheese, caldo galego, the chipirines, which everything was delicious! Cooked to perfection at very reasonable prices.

Yelp
A small, typically Galician place to have a tapa and talk (at the bar or front area with tables) or to eat (at tables or in interior). Be prepared to speak Galician (we do) - the service will be even better and friendlier. Although set in the casco vello or medieval part of Santiago, the restaurant is not afraid to try some intriguing dishes such as algae salad with sweetened balsamic vinegar (really healthy) or sea urchin omelette. Dessert can be good as well. Reasonable prices, very nice atmosphere with stone walls. However, if you have noisy children, or sit near them, the inner area can get a bit loud toward the end of your meal. Go early, get to know the people there - a lot of regulars stop by for apperitifs. Not far from the cathedral and other parts of the historic area of this city that is becoming too full of tourists for my taste.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Santiago for typical Gallician food. My favorites here are the pulpo (octopus), zorza (pork with seasonings), and patatas (fries). The inside is decorated in a typical Galician fashion, with stone walls and lots of wood. It can be a bit pricey, but you can eat really well.
