Restaurante Mi Niño

Really good place to eat local and traditional cuisine. Meat is super tasty and soft, shrimps also fresh and juicy. Portions are great and the taste is delicious. Would be definitely coming back. Recommend - probably one of the best places to eat in the island.

Food was very good. We ate there twice and were not disappointed- it’s fresh, healthy, portion is of a good size. Kind waiter.

Great food and selection, great price, great service. -I ate here multiple times in tortuguero. I did try a few other restaurants but kept coming back here. -The food is very good, i am a picky eater, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I had a yogurt and fruit plate for breakfast, and their grilled chicken plate with salad and potatoes 2 separate meals/days. I also had 2 chocolate milkshakes, they were very good. Everything was good. -The selection and prices are great, something for everyone, large portions, and English in menu. -Service is friendly and fast, you might have to walk up to kitchen or get attention to get the bill/check, but thats normal in all the restaurants i was in there. -Choice of indoor booth/table seats or covered patio tables. -Menu on wooden board outside. Tortuguero doesn’t have many good vegetarian options it seems and trying this one turned out into an very average meal. When we ordered the vegan/vegetarian burritos I kept thinking that I can make better burritos myself. Very basic food. Also the menu specifies that there would be avocado but there wasn’t any to be found… same applies for tomato. They don’t serve water so if you order water it costs you 2500 colones.

Family owned and operated. Great food and reasonable prices. 5 Stars because of the food presentation and the service. Juan always had a smile on his face and was very attentive. It is a pleasure to eat in a place where the people working there actually enjoy their job. Ordered a simple salad with chicken and was positively suprised with what was served.

Casado con carne en salsa - meat was good, portion of beans bit small, came with fried sweet plantain Arroz vegetariano - was okaish but lacked some flavor. The chips that came with it were not that good. Waitress was friendly.

Excellent cuisine! breakfasts are like everywhere else, but the main menu is just delicious! we took shrimp salad and chicken burrito. They also make great smoothies and morning coffee is awesome.

Had breakfast here. I think they switch menu later so was after something else. Did not have anything vegan for breakfast, unless you close your eyes when you eat the pancakes and imagine that they don't have milk or eggs in them. I never asked so that might be the case. Fast service and good pancakes.
