Restaurante Miracastro | Castro Laboreiro

Very disappointed with this restaurant, we went on a busy day and it was packed, yet they had the courtesy to seat us at a table, it was the only positive thing. They could have warned us that it would take 1 hour and 28 minutes to serve 1 dish, 1 hour and 37 minutes to serve another dish, 40 minutes to provide the menu and 50 minutes to serve the drink. A disaster of service, it was simply a matter of warning something like “...we are at full capacity and it will take more than an hour and a half to serve you the food”. The food was just ok, packaged octopus with not enough quality. Very disappointed.

In October 2023, I read some review here about being served food with some dead fly. I laugh it out as bad luck, and went to eat at the restaurant, since we were already staying in the hotel. Unfortunately, I can confirm that I was also served fried potato with a dead, deep fried fly. When we complained, the men working in the kitchen simply said "things like that can happen"... not even sorry. The food was good, service was ok, but the fly experience is unique. Other than that, I would recommend. Great views from the hotel.

This place is a complete hoax! Firstly, the location is wrong—there's no restaurant here, just the ghost of A Serra Restaurant, which is permanently closed. Restaurante Miracastro is actually a hotel restaurant across the street. They concocted this fake new Google maps location and plastered it with fake 5-star reviews to lure in the unsuspecting customers. Honestly, they don’t even deserve a single star. The waitress acted like we were interrupting her personal siesta, making us feel like an inconvenience. It was our only bad experience with restaurant service in all of Portugal. The food? Mediocre at best. The vegetable soup with half-raw beans turned our stomachs into a war zone for the rest of the afternoon. This place, never again.

The food is of low quality. The service is even worse. The worst place we visited in Portugal.

Muito boa comida, uma agradável surpresa. Pedimos cabrito e estava divinal, staff muito simpático no fim dão-nos um digestivo.

Este restaurante é uma boa opção para comer uma refeição tradicional portuguesa em Castro Laboreiro. A carne é fantástica, saborosa e terrinha. Ficamos alojados no hotel e experimentamos o restaurante Miracastro ficando surpreendidos com a qualidade da refeição. Vale a pena visitar e lem da comida desfrutar da vista.
