We booked this place hoping for a nice evening overlooking the Alhambra. Unfortunately, trees block most of the view from the terrace — they really should consider trimming them back or planting shorter trees, as the view is their best asset.
Walking in was confusing. There are vague signs pointing to the restaurant even though you’re already standing on the terrace, and when we entered the front desk, several staff walked straight past without acknowledging us. I was about to leave when someone finally seated us at our booked table.
The starters were all quite heavy, so we went with the bread and olives. Unfortunately, it felt like they’d gone with the cheap option — day-old bread, budget olives, and a random plastic packet of breadsticks. At a restaurant like this, plastic-wrapped breadsticks really shouldn’t appear on the table.
The menu in general is very meat-heavy, with little that looks fresh or light — lots of browns on the plate. I had the sea bass, my wife the chicken. Both were passable but decidedly average. The fish itself was cooked well, but the roasted vegetables were mushy, and the whole thing sat in an oily puddle that gave the plate a sloppy appearance. The chicken was fine, but again looked like something a home cook had thrown together.
This place has real potential: great atmosphere, good venue, enviable location. But the food and service both felt half-hearted. At the moment, it gives off strong tourist trap vibes.
