Restaurante Nuestra Tierra

A very welcoming restaurant that seems to scream Costa Rican Culture. We got a plate for two people but when it came it was soooooooo massive. It literally could have fed all four of us. My waitress was very cute and offered us a free photo that she took of us all wearing Costa Rican hats. She printed and gave it to us at the end at no charge! This place is a definite place to visit if need good food and servers who speak English!

It was fun, relaxing, nice band to go with a large group. We had vegetarians and vegan in our group. So, they prepared us a platter of way too much food! :) We got to try the various local dishes! It was very tasty! We ended up not being able to finish more than half and felt bad!! :( But the staff were very friendly, kind, and we had a really nice time!!

Nice one-stop shop for authentic Costa Rica cuisine, souvenirs, and music. The food is delicious with a somewhat larger serving size. We ordered a plate to share with lots of different things, and it was more than enough to make us full. I loved the grilled beef and the baked bean dip. They also offer to take a picture with local hats and a Costa Rica flag.

The first impression was friendly. I would have preferred music from Costa Rica over international jazz lounge music. Fresh juices were delicious, plates were big. Unfortunately the salmon was fried only little. I gave it back to the kitchen and it came back almost raw again. Service seemed to be unmotivated. Be aware of the bill: prices in the menu are high and do not include tax (13%) and tip (10%) 😵‍💫. Therefore you have to add almost 25% to all prices in the menu. While traveling through Costa Rica I observed this trap only twice. In the end the waiter even asked for an additional tip 😩

Great place for someone to experience the Costa Rican culture for the first time. We emptied our pockets but couldn't finish what we ordered completely. The portion was large enough for satisfying a highly hungry person. The live entertainment was a cherry on top.

We wanted to have authentic Costa Rican food while there so my mom and I chose to eat here. I was disappointed in the meal I had because I asked if the chicken was white meat and was told yes but when the order came it was dark meat (I would've ordered something else if I knew that). The dish I had came with chicken and fish and to me there was just nothing special about the taste. The restaurant atmosphere was good but I ended up taking most of the food home and spruced it up to make it taste better. My mom said her meal was just ok. The best thing about the meal was my peppermint lemonade, that was really good.

Place was quite empty yet it still had live entertainment music, singers and instruments. The place is well decor. Food was incredible I had the canasta de carne and it was delicious. Server respected our time didn’t tell us to leave regardless of the 2 hours we passed on the restaurant. As a souvenir they take a picture and printed right away for free!

This restaurant was recommended by our Uber driver and it was sooooooo good. The service was excellent and the food was some the best food I had while on vacation
