Restaurante Peixe na Telha

Beautiful view and delicious food. The food came out fast and was great!

We had only one night in Porto and we had a hard choice between 3 restaurants recommended to us and chose Peixe na Telha. We ordered a big grilled fish (see a picture). It was the worst taste of fish I've ever eaten. I had to spit some fish back from my mouth because it tasted horrible. The vegetables were tasteless, potatoe wedges were full of fried oil. Was dissapointing especially knowing the price. The place is overrated. Waiters couldn't explain how the food was done and were telling whatever answer. Worst overall experience in the 2 weeks vacation in North East.

Peixe na Telha is a beachfront restaurant specializing in fish dishes. We went during lunchtime and sat at the beach area. You will need to pay $100Rs to sit there (which are consumables), or you can order right away. You can stay for 3 hours. We ordered their famous fish dish, and it was okay—nothing special. It was a baked fish with some tomato-based sauce and cheese on top. For us, the place was really overpriced and not worth it. The staff was super friendly, and it was nice to access their restrooms as well as an outdoor rinse place. Overall, I don’t think the restaurant food quality matches the prices.

It is located right in the downtown of Porto de Galinhas. The service was ok and the food was nice, actually I expected more about the food, as I read nice reviews about this place, i just thought the dishes called pirão de peixe was excellent!

The food was really good for the price in USD. It came out to be about $40. Something like this would normally cost $80-$120 in USA. I think the reviews are too critical. It’s a really good spot and the food was delicious. BTW I got the Chef Artur. It came with mashed potatoes and broccoli rice

Nice experience! Would recommend. Reception was immediate, there was loads of space in the restaurant so I was immediately seated next to the beach. Was recommended the fish, which I ordered with sauce - I enjoyed it, although I felt it could have a touch less salt. That said, they did recommend the version without sauce first. It was a large portion. Ordered pineapple juice with mint at the attendant's recommendation, which I liked too. I didn't need much help so I can't say much about the service. They did recommend good dishes and appeared to be generally helpful. Prices are above average.

Food was great! We always love a restaurant that has outside with a view seating and yummy tasting food. We got isca de peixe, grilled fish of the day and moqueca de camarão. Cold beer to keep my parents happy! Service was fast and waiter helped us with purchase of tickets for the sail boats.

This restaurant is waaaaay too expensive for what it offers. We got frozen food, old mandioca, cold rice. Pastel was cold inside... After 4 days in Porto de Galinhas and region, this was our worst experience. Go to the small ones, they are much better and tastier.
