Restaurante Sheriff Rustic

Great food at a great price (for Samara at least). Their ceviche is one of my favorite things I ate all trip. We ate there twice on our one week trip because of that ceviche. Our favorite things were: Fish ceviche, the Casado with the whole Snapper, the fish fillet and shrimp in white sauce (soooo good) and the camarones al ajillo. Also, the spot has a perfect view of the beach. Great location for lunch or dinner after playing in the water.

Good food, good prices, good service, great location and view! Located right in the beach by the pier. Tico breakfast. Would come here again. Food is basic but good. Very casual. Pay at the register, not with the server. We sat quite a while not realizing this.

Good beachside place with a standard assortment of Tico food that is well prepared. This is basically a soda with somewhat higher prices because of great location. The main downside of this place is that the staff are “stiff”. As has been mentioned by others, none of the servers or managers seem to enjoy being here or working with the customers. Not a smile anywhere.

I stopped here 10 years ago on a road trip between Santa Teresa and Nosara. I came back this month with my family and it’s amazing to see how they have remained consistent. Sheriff stands out among every other restaurant on Samara Beach in that their food is high-quality, prices are reasonable, and the staff is attentive and kind. We came here for breakfast every morning during our trip as they have tasty, protein-rich, traditional, breakfast options. While every other restaurant along this strip felt like a tourist trap and an unfair cash grab, the food and service at Sherif remains high-quality and honest.

We have been coming to Samara off and on for around 14 years and always enjoy Restaurante Sheriff Rustic. Tonight the fish was outstanding and the rest of the Casado tasty and filling. In addition, our server was polite and attentive. They have been very consistent over the years.

A gem in front of the Ocean !!! Josue is amazing and his restaurant is more than good !! I really Love this place !!

Arrived and ordered promptly, good service initially, drinks arrived but they lost our food order and after 40 minutes realized it. Couldn’t wait for them to begin preparing and had to leave. Not much courtesy, can’t comment on quality of food.

great place for authentic Costa Rican food as well as if you need some comfort food such as hamburger or fries (best fries on Playa Samara actually!). Fresh fish and amazing Ceviche. was my favorite and not only best deals (value for money) but also best food on the beach.
