The atmosphere is great and the restaurant is overall nice. The first guy that took our order was attentive and serviceminded, giving us some good advise regarding which wine to choose. However the guy that then served us and stood in the bar at the outside patio seemed like he didn’t want to be there or something. The food was really good but not amazing. Unfortunately this was our last day in Barcelona for this trip so we didn’t get to try some of the other steakhouses to compare. If I should give one tip to others it would be don’t get the fries. They may seem nice on the picture but they were NOT crispy at all. Overall we were happy and full.

This restaurant is part of the Alexandra Hotel and also has a bar that offers tapas and other bar types of food. This review is applicable to the bar section of the restaurant. We went one time for dinner and ordered their hamburguesas. They must be the best hamburgers we’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious and definitely worth trying. We liked them so much that we chose to go again during lunch on a second occasion. Their food is simply delicious. The issue we found was the poor customer service. When we walked in for dinner we had to wait a few minutes for someone to greet us. Once we sat at the bar, a server/bartender pointed out the menu for us to look at and then disappeared. The bar at that moment had 3 employees. Once we had made our choice for dinner none of the servers approached us to take our order. We even signaled one of the servers letting them know that we were ready, only to be told they would help soon. We must have waited for at least 20 minutes before finally placing our order. On our second visit, this time during lunch, there was one server working both the outside terrace and the bar. Again we waited some time before placing our order. Sometime later another server showed up to work at the bar. When the time came for us to pay, the servers were preparing for the dinner crowd and were focusing on doing that instead of closing our check. The restaurant managers should do better when it comes to greeting and welcoming customers and to make sure service is running smoothly at the bar area. Doing this will improve the overall bar dining experience for customers and more profits for the restaurant. Bottom line: the food is delicious but the service is poor. If you are on a busy schedule, this place may not be the best dining option. You may be smart in walking out and finding a more welcoming place to dine instead.

Great meat cuts, fries and salad. The asparagus could been better both done and plated. Same remarked about the platting to the meat. Service was good though i hate plates being taken from the table when there is still food on them. In total great vfm

A carnivore’s dream. The staff was very helpful and actually kept us from ordering way too much food. Every bite was delicious. We had the A5 wagyu and it was delicious, very well priced. The steak tartar was also a great addition. The whole meal was top notch. The restaurant was not crowded and we basically had a server at our side for the entire meal.

This restaurant is quite upscale and expensive. True to its name, Solomillo specializes in their signature dish, with a variety of options to choose from—all of them absolutely delicious. Highly recommended, but be prepared to splurge!

Visited on a weekday at 8pm and the restaurant was quite empty with only one other table. 2 more tables got seated before we left Service was very, very professional and good! The appetizers and sides were all excellent and well executed It was also great being able to sample different cuts since you can order small portions of 4oz. We tried the Frisian, Rubia Gallega and Buey. The R. Gallega and Buey had very, very intense flavour, almost game-like. Personally I did not enjoy it as I don't enjoy gamey meats like deer or venison. However, you might enjoy it. The Frisian was my favourite as it was not gamey and more like the steaks I usually like. Toilets are clean and well equipped Overall a very enjoyable dinner experience

Nice hotel restaurant bar. The servers are friendly and make a mad Moscow Mule!! We had some salad with pan tumaca and stayed for about 3 hours! No one rushing you to leave, just nice people, comfortable atmosphere and fun drinks. We saw the bartender making a sangria with fresh fruit that looked delicious!
