Restaurante Tanga

Even though we ought to know better, we allowed ourselves to be enticed into this restaurant by an enthusiastic promoter. The food was dull and uninspiring. The service was beyond horrible! It completely lacked lustre and apart from the view, it was an extremely disappointing experience. Our paella arrived an hour and a half AFTER the rest of the food. Mains arrived before starters. Shrimps were not fresh, and were impossible to peal. We won't be so easily led another time. It wasn't cheap either… I’ve added photos of the food we left behind becuase of how horrible it was. I have to say, there was one waiter (Carlos) there that noticed our disappointment and did his best to compensate us with a few complimentary shot, which was very kind of him.

Tanga beach is a must in formentera. The beach is great with a lot of space and less people compared to ses illetes. If you want a beach ombrella make sure you arrive early enough. The Tanga restaurant is great. We had Formentera octopus (recommended) and fish paella. Service is fast and waiters are super available and kind. The terrace is ventilated with fan so it is not too warm. We really enjoyed the day here and this is one of the best place for a relaxing day in Formentera.

So f good - don’t step foot in Beso Beach and come here instead. It’s 5 mins away by car and such a good vibe. The fideuá is one of the best you’ll ever have. Plus; everyone here is so friendly!

Food was incredible - best paellas we have had on our trip so far. We had the special paella and the seafood paella, which were both equally delicious. The seaside view was lovely, and the restaurant was conveniently right next to the beach which was nice. The waiters were kind and helpful. Overall, a very nice place.

Excellent beach restaurant with a large choice of fresh fish. Such a hidden gem: we just wanted a light lunch before going to the beach so ordered salads, grilled sole, octopus and prawns. Delicious! I'll come back for the paellas.

Food was great, price was not cheap but reasonable if you consider that you say by a beautiful beach! The waiters are nice, food is very good (they have mainly fish and meat). Pasta with seafood was about 18€ and the tuna 27€. You can park directly in front with the scooter and the famous beach illetes is just 7 min away by scooter.

Beachside restaurant in a very nice area of Formentera. Spacious terrace with friendly and fast service from the team. Fresh products and delicious variety of meat and fish dishes. Ample parking with attendant to help find you a space. Highly recommended for a great on the beach dining experience

We were right on the beach. The service was the best I have encountered on the island. The food was EXCELLENT 👍 The setting is priceless
