Restaurante Tasca El Tonique

This restaurant has atmosphere and service that you would "die for" in the UK. The interior is cosy and welcoming, with warm lighting, dark wood, and booths of various sizes so you feel intimate whether you're two or six. Service is friendly and professional as is usual in Spain. However, on this occasion, the food was too straightforward and didn't "press my buttons". Photos explain better than I can.

Very nice typical Spanish food. This place is a sort of pearl in comparison to the neighborhood. The personnel is very friendly and we loved the multilingual menus. We recommend the "Segreto ibérico": it was amazing. To try the Helado con marmelada de higos, also lovely!

Good place for a quick bite. Staff was polite and helpful and spoke good English. Nice atmosphere with lots of wine bottles all around you. The food was served rather quickly, but wasn't the best we've had for similar priced restaurants.

Lovely traditional restaurant with delicious tapas and cosy atmosphere. Gambas in garlic and the beef carpaccio were particular highlights but everything was good. Welcoming service. Good value too.

One of my favorite restaurant in the island ! The food was amazing, so was the selection of wine and the waiters were super nice. best croquetas and best tarta de queso that i have ever eaten!!

El Tonique is really an excellent restaurant (Tasca) in San Cristobal. The excellent food is from Canarian traditions, the location is relaxing and comfortable according to spanish standards. The wine selection is excellent and suggested in a professional way. Very good is the ham selection (Jambon Serrano and Jambon Pata Negra), delicius the cream of almonds.

Very nice food and wines! You can have what we call in Spain "tapas" of Jamón Serrano, pimiento padrón, Delicious tortilla Española and lots of other specialities!

Ordered some tapas. They were delivered to the table one by one in o nice order chosen by the restaurant. Quick service, very good food!
