The food is really good! The view is amazing! However the experience overall needs a little improvement. The place was almost empty and the staff kept dropping things or not placing all the utensils for everyone. They should give you a menu for all the stuff they have. We had to ask for the dessert menu and the beverage menu which they didn’t have. I think I’ll just go back for the view, to avoid cold weather at Mirador de Guapulo

Very nice place and excellent service! We stopped by for a late-night locro de papa and were waited on very well. It’s a relaxing place to be, with a television and windows along the perimeter. They were not very busy on a Saturday night, although they stay open until 11:00 pm. Even when they were closing, they told us to take our time. The menu is not very big, but they offer main dishes, sandwiches, sea food, traditional Ecuadorian plates, desserts, drinks, and wines.

This place has the best seco de chivo in Quito. It is rich in flavor, well balanced and worth the price. The filet mignon is also one of the best in the city. The sirloin is tender and the sauce is a perfect side for it, as well as the asparagus. The views are awesome here. Relaxing and majestic. It almost doesn’t feel like the wait for the dishes could improve. The main purpose of a good restaurant is the food, period. And the food here is OUTSTANDING. I will be returning.

Probably was good 20 years ago, nice view but it needs a design update. Drinks were OK, nothing to cross town for.

It is very very hard to find quality and price balance like in Techo del Mundo. It is an upscale restaurant, it isn't that cheap, but there are a lot of mid quality restaurants out there, nothing outstanding, at way higher prices. You get more than what you pay for. It's delicious, the menu is very interesting with international cuisine and some local cuisine redesign. Great service, spectacular view, easy to reach for everyone, clean and comfortable bathrooms, there is parking with a discount for consumption. Classy, delicious, impressive. I would choose it everytime for the highlight nights.

Breakfast buffet is expensive at $17. Food is okay. View is great, service excellent. They validate one hour parking. Food available included pancakes jellies but no syrup, fresh fruit, rice with steak, coffee, one type off juice, pastries, tigrillo, sausage, you can order and omelette to taste, locro de papas ( really good).

Unfortunately trusted the pictures & the fancy name and went to the restaurant to celebrate wife's birthday. What a horrible mistake! The vibe is generic and boring (no theme or anything interesting). The music played was elevator music, and place was almost empty on a Friday night! (only 3 tables out of what appeared 50). The only good thing was the food which was good. If you want an expensive dinner at a restaurant hotel ($60 for 2 people), then go here. If you want to have an experience a great time a restaurant then this is not the place. The name should be "Hotel Quito Restaurante" instead of "Techo del Mundo"
