Restaurante Vegetariano Artemisa - Huertas

This was one of my favorite restautants I went to on my trip to Madrid. I liked it so much I went twice - once on the weekend, when I ordered a la carte, and once on a weekday for the menu del dia which is an excellent value. Everything I ate was delicious. Service was also very good. As a celiac it was fantastic not to have to worry about gluten at all.

Loved loved loved. Vegetarian heaven! They have vegan options too. Everything was a knockout. I really don’t think you can go wrong here. The guacamole and chips are a classic, the apple juice is so fresh and omg the eggplant was so crispy and not greasy at all. Wonderful, highly recommend and want to come back as soon as possible.

The vegetarian GF food was incredible! Unique and delicious. Service was warm and helpful in a lovely atmosphere. We will go again during our trip to Madrid.

I had the Vegan Tasting Platter just for myself (it’s meant for two, but I was really hungry 🙈), and it was absolutely delicious! I wanted to try the curry from another dish, and they happily swapped the quinoa for it(such a nice touch)! I still had some room, so I went for the vegan carrot cake, and it was totally worth it😍. The service was super friendly, and I will definitely be back on my next visit to Madrid. Highly recommended! 💚

All the food was amazing. Lasagna. Patatas brava. Fried rice. Salad.

Wow! Some of the best food I’ve had in Madrid! I loved their daily menu but we also got their croquettes! Everything was delicious and we loved the mandarin cake! The vegetarian paella was delicious and highly recommend this gem!

Delicious, hearty, warm food, we had croquetas and 2 of the vegan mains. One of the best vegan restaurant meals I had. Also, nice Spanish homey decor, no frills. Sweet staff.

Great selection of vegan and vegetarian food. The 12 euro three-course meal of the day, which included a drink, left me stuffed. Attentive and friendly service, cozy family vibe, and plant-based food for the win.

We ate here lastnight, and oh my goodness it was so delish! So we split the taco app which was probably the best ive had in a long time, and then got a tasting meal for two, it was the perfect portion for us! Wish I could go again but ran out of time! Our server was attentive and nice as well!

I wish I could give this place at least 4 stars, and I'm sure on a second visit it might be better. It is located on a cool side street in the fabulous Cortes district with plenty of hostels, hotels, bars, city sights, and shops nearby. Their hours say they reopen for dinner at 9 pm but they actually reopen at 8:30 pm. I know because I was waiting outside for the doors to open. I was the first person to sit down but within 20 minutes there were a couple dozen other patrons, so it's a pretty popular spot. When you order, you have the option of getting a pre-meal snack and bread basket for a couple euros. I forgot the place was a gluten free restaurant but the bread was definitely a reminder. The chips and dip were good, though I would recommend just waiting for your meal or ordering a starter. I got a dish that was recommended on the menu, but it was very heavy and didn't have the most tantalizing flavor. It was good but I wouldn't order it again. There seemed to be only one server working, but he was constantly taking orders and bringing out food and drinks to the tables. He didn't really check up on patrons throughout their meal to see if they needed anything else and it was only an inconvenience when it came to paying at the end. Overall, there is enough variety on the menu to find something for anyone, so I will probably be back and I hope to get something that really impresses me!

Love the many Vegetarian restaurants in Spain. All the other restaurants only have 1 or 2 items for vegetarians and are not worth it. So we found this place and we were pleased with most of the items we ordered. The fresh juices are amazing! They put the right amount of each fruit/veggie and the entire mix is delicious! The complimentary mini toasted breads with yogurt was great! We loved the cucumber flavor to it. The starter entree that we got was the best dish we had. Has a mix of avocado, carrots, sprouts, and more and it was really good. The curry madras was not good, no flavor, tasted like a frozen flavored entree. I wouldn't get this dish. The paella was okay, the flavor was missing, tasted a little weird. I would pass on this one too. Overall the employees were really friendly, the juices are great and their starters are amazing!

Great food and service! Had a mixed group of vegetarians and non vegetarians and found so many options that were delicious. Hard to believe the food was not just vegetarians and one sampler fully vegan and also happens to be gluten free. Service was very good on recommending dishes ( server was vegetarian as well). Some items we would not have enjoyed but since there were modified to be vegan we could enjoy everything. They bring out soft bread and butter as well as some delicious bread like dish that was so soft and gently flavored - vegan cornbread I believe. Our kids fully enjoyed the dinner and amazing desserts! Great first night in Madrid.

Like Yerbabuena, their menu has you choose a starter, main entree, and dessert. Your meal will also come with bread and a non-alcoholic beverage - All for under 12 euros, and everything is vegetarian. Food was tasty, ambiance pleasing, and service was friendly - Highly recommend for the vegetarians! But be warned: portions are quite large, so if you're stopping by in the afternoon, Artemisa may be both your lunch and dinner.

We started out our trip by visiting another vegetarian food place, Yerbabuena. This place blows Yerbabuena out of the water. All really great dishes served by friendly waiters. The eggplant baked in cheese and sauce is a must-have. My husband had the Greek pita dish and loved it as well. A must-go for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike!

Good location and nice set up. Good food selection and things seems to fresh and tasty. Not gourmet but good and prices right. Vegetarian easily should go and would not be disappointed.

Great restaurant with an all-vegetarian menu. My husband and I split the vegetarian tasting platter which was pretty huge but let us try everything. The menu was a bit on the pricier side but the good was great!
