Not a cheap place but very good food. We went in 6pm sharp, and the tables were all reserved ( we had to leave by 8pm ). They do have english menu but their suggestions are in french. The kipkap was a very nice dish to try. The black pudding felt like a muffin! The food was a very good way to start out Brussels trip.

Nice and cozy place a bit far away from the center but well worth it. Apparently they cook the meals in beer and the end result is succulent meats and tasty food. English is very well understood and spoken and they have pretty nice list of beers. We had a rabbit with prunes and shrimp croquettes and fries as sides. Better drink tap water as the bottled one is as expensive as a beer.

Good food and warm services. Feel like I am eating in a family dinner. Starter and main courses are excellent. Dessert are a bit too sweet to my taste.

What Disneyland means for a kid, this restaurant could mean for a beer lover. Tasty food, kind staff, fair prices and most importantly, endless beer selection. Highly recommended.

Fair prices and good portions. The food is unique and can't find in other cities. Duck stew was hearty and duck meat was flavourful. Service was excellent but I would suggest making reservations as they were booked full when I arrived.

Yelp
Such flavorful stew!! This place was recommended by a local tour guide. The stew was so saucy and delicious, the meat was tender and the potatoes paired well. Wash it down with some nice cold Belgian beers

Yelp
3.5 stars I went to Restobieres on a Saturday for lunch with a large group, and we all seemed to enjoy it. I had a vegetable and lamb risotto, which seemed more like a Moroccan tagine than a risotto, but it was still really good. For dessert, I had a forgettable-but-not-bad chocolate mousse. Prices were reasonable. I think my risotto cost about 15 euros, and the portion was so generous that I ended up taking half of it home. Their house wine was totally acceptable and also reasonably priced. Although we'd reserved in advance, the place was nearly empty when we arrived around 12:30, and it wasn't much busier by the time we left at 3. On that note, service was extremely slow. The servers were very nice and accommodating though, so it was overall good service for Brussels.

Yelp
This place is really really good! I had the chance to bring some friends visiting from France and wanted to show them a nice place serving tasteful traditional cuisine. This was the perfect spot for the occasion! Very friendly staff and delicious food - a must if you're visiting the city and want to have a taste of delicious traditional recipes (and good value for money!). I recommend the "Boulettes restobière" which we all had and was clearly a good choice! Tip: do not hesitate to ask for the best Belgian beer combination with your plate - they have some incredible ones!

Yelp
Brussels - Local host recommended Restobières as an authentic, classic Belgium food mecca. Our group ordered three meals: casserole of fish Ostendaise (with Blanche de Watou), duck breast (with cherries and kriek Mariage Parfait), and Rodenbach doe stew (onion, belgian beer, and a few spices, potatoes, carrots, etc). Each was delicious although the duck was the clear winner. Wonderful selection of beers and service was helpful and efficient.

Yelp
This place is made by its funny and friendly owner Alain Fayt. In a city where the customer is not 'king, rather an unwelcome 'king irritation, we were welcomed warmly by Alain and his staff, despite it not being long till closing time. The food was local, reasonably priced but most importantly tasted really nice. There was, as the name suggests, an excellent selection of beers (my buffalo blonde went down really well). Alain even amused us with some banter (and some different costumes). Even without the extras this was the best meal I had in Brussels so I simply have to give it 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who'll listen.

Yelp
Very nice Belgian food with cosy atmosphere! The beer cooking of Restobière was a pleasant discovery. You should however consider to book a table :)

Yelp
When anywhere and curious, if you're like me, you want to try the local specialties. Restobières is one of those place for tourists to sample Brussels' specialties (i.e., beer-everything). And as such you would expect and want a Brussels' atmosphere... Yes, being in all the best and worst tourist guides, the place is always busy and you should book a table, even very early on a week day. Yes, the food is traditionnal and beer-y. Sometimes, a hit or miss. I suppose it depends on the mood of the chef. The piglet was quite good, the lamb not so much. But, and being belgian maybe my expectations were too high, if you decide to have french waitresses, could you please teach me to correctly pronounce the names of dishes and beers and places... There is no such place as BruXelles, Vitkap is not a bier and I won't even try to mimic how they pronounced Hommelbier. I'm sure a lot of people don't hear the difference, but if you want to attract locals as well as tourists, having a true Brusseleir atmosphere would be a favoured plus. (Having them know the beers in order to advise people correctly - and not just as if they were playing a game of vogelpik - would even be better, as I ended up advising them myself!)

Yelp
The worst service ever! My host recommend me to go to this restaurant to try traditional and nice Belgium food and I had very high expectation for this restaurant. We checked the opening hours and it says it would close at 12am. So We got there last night at 10 and thought at Least we have an hour to eat. The waitress spoke English for the customers in front of the line. When it came to our turn, she said "close soon" when we asked her again she said "No English, French only" and turned away from us. If she couldn't speak English, how can she understand what the customers were asking before us? If you don't speak French, don't go to this restaurant.

Yelp
This place is excellent. Lots of fine bottled beers, chilled and poured. We did a prix fixe menu and had three courses. The raclette was good, but it cools very easily and then doesn't taste too good, so if you order it, eat fast! All the food was really spectacular. This is all the heaviness and flavor of French food without the snooty attitude. The owner is a delight and regaled us with several goofy costumes throughout the night.

Yelp
Food was great, atmosphere was great, service was more or less non existent. The wait between courses is about 30 minutes, and if you need another drink or the menu you'll have to flag someone down as they're perfectly happy to let you sit at your table with absolutely nothing. We ordered set 3 course menu, 2 courses took over an hour to be served and once finished we waited aimlessly about half hour until finally asking for a menu to order our dessert course. Such a shame since the food was very good, but wouldn't come again.

Yelp
Nice dishes, almost all prepared using beer in cooking. Price/quality good.
