This restaurant will take you back to the 90s of Malaysian Muar cuisine. The dishes are generously portioned and stay true to the classic Muar style. Must order items: 1. Bomb Eggs 2. Butter Kailan 3. Assam Fish (be sure to request extra soup bcs you won’t be able to stop drinking it!) 4. Fried Sotong Definitely give it a try if you’re nearby or even just to check out the KOL’s famous Roti Tisu (mamak restaurant) located right next to this Muar restaurant. You won’t regret it!

I’ve to this restaurant many years ago . What remind me always about this restaurant were their crispy sayur, crispy fried egg and refreshing kuah asam . Yesterday I had the same many again with my friend . The fish was fresh soaked in the refreshing kuah asam. The crispy sayur was good and the crispy egg was awesome. The salted egg squid also very tasty

Been dining here for the past 3 years and the quality is still superb. Of course the butter kailan is a must order dish and also the salted egg squid. Also had the belacan chicken and the omellete

Restoran Muar is where autheticity and history meet with flavour from the south. Go for the sambal petai prawn (replace with bean or okra if uou dont like petai), fried kailan, salted sotong and their freshly made otak otak, fried egg is a bit oily but rest assured it felt homecooked nyonya flavour…

Delicious homecooked baba nyonya and Muar inspired dishes here. Friendly and helpful lady boss. Food served rather quickly too though crowded.

Ordered set meal for 2 persons. Set included fried egg, fried vege (stir fried with garlic or sambal), sambal squid & prawn (a bit spicy). Taste is okay. Second round, 4-5pax set, otak-otak taste nice, thumb up. Value for money. Can give a try.

Yellow box parking. 4-5pax Set (rm44.90), comes with 4items: 1. Sambal Squid & Prawn; the sambal taste is like fried chili, like pekat hangus abit kinda taste. Unlike some sambals that i have eaten that are tasty. 2. Otak-Otak; texture is firm i like, but could use more spicyness and umph. 3. Kangkung; hard to explain but some kangkung has a kind of crunch to it and the taste/flavour is unique, but this kangkung doesn't taste like the usual kangkung i've had before. I don't quite like this one. Ni cam kangkung tapi bukan penuh kangkung. 4. Crispy Fried Egg; the crips of the edges are superrrr dellly. Beansprout with Salted Fish Big (rm15); this taugeh damnnnn sedap. I didn't taste the salted fish but the gravy with the taugeh damn nice and theres a crunch to it but it's not raw until i wana puke. Salted Egg Squid & Prawn (rm25); i feel it's more butter than salted egg. Okay la. Overall the meal was quite decent. The toilet abit rundown, if you cannot tahan geli then best to hold it in and not go. I closed my eye ;)
