Restaurant Jadera Zadar

The restaurant is a bit off of the main tourist route, but it just serves for its advantage. We have dairy and gluten allergies and the chef and our waiter went out of their way to accomodate our needs. Recommend to everyone who like to eat tasty seafood with a bit of twist. The best food we had on our vacation.

The food was nice. I prefer my fish to be well done and it was done perfectly without making the meat tasted dry. The mashed potato with spinach was lovely. The risotto was not the best my brother’s ever had but he still ate it clean so I guess it’s quite alright. The waiter was friendly and we even had a cute security with world-weary look keeping us company during our lunch. It had an odd affinity with my brother as it always lingered around him the whole time. It rejected the prawn head when he’s offered one too! Lol. Won’t mind to eat there again. The place was quite famous for international tourists too, I guess, considering I saw a group of Chinese tourists being led into the restaurant to have their lunch there.

Delicious traditional Croatian cuisine. The food is simply amazing. The service is top notch. The waiter knows his craft and you can see that he does what he likes. A very nice guy with great knowledge and a fantastic approach to the customer. We will gladly return there on our next visit to Zadar. I recommend it with all my heart.

We loved this place. It's located in a beautiful square behind a cathedral, in the historic center but a bit away from the hustle and bustle. We had lunch at noon and returned for dinner. The food was delicious and the service was exquisite and friendly. Thank you so much; it was a wonderful end to our trip.

The worst meal of vacation. "Sea food plate" is literally sea garbage, the cheapest. Calamari & tiny shrimps fried WITH shell, seriously?? If you make half a plate french fries, at least fill the other half with something which looks like sea food. 15€(!) It's really a shame. Restaurant should think again about its price /quality relation.

Jadera was an absolute delight. Unfussy but lovingly prepared Mediterranean/Croatian food served by a warm, thoughtful team. Prices are modest by Zadar Old Town Standards. There is an extensive drinks menu covering lots of Croatian wines, locally made non-alcoholic options and regional beers. The location on a square behind a beautiful church is very atmospheric, but exposed to Zadar's chilly coastal breeze.

Great service, delicious food. Recommend the homemade mocktails with elderflower juice. Steaks are big and tasty. The food is nicely displayed on the plate.
