Yelp
What a disappointment.
This was a referral from a friend so I was shocked at the outcome.
The following is an account of trying to work with the company. Based on the way the company presents, I didn't except this experience. It's not my intent to slander, but warn the consumer to consider my experience and decide if they want to use this service. For context, the job was a flooded basement and being covered by insurance, plus an additional laundry room that I needed dry walled to at I was paying out of packet for. Range was $18k-22k which the contractor knew up front.
At first, David was really communicative and really professional. During the walk thru of the job, he explained the work, process, timeline, next steps, etc. He even had me sign a contract that protected HIM, noting the % he'd take from the insurance money, or all of it if I didn't use him for all the work. Seemed reasonable.
Then he ghosted. After over two weeks past the time he said he'd finish the quote and send it to me and the insurance agent, I followed up, and he explained that he was working on more lucrative jobs. No accountability for blowing me off, just that I wasn't worth the work or even a text that he was behind.
In my profession, when the ball is dropped, which happens, I coach my team to take accountability for it, recommit to the new realistic timeline, and then follow through.
I explained to David while I understood that business needs shift and priorities shuffle, I am a business owner, and it's important to me to partner with someone who can both take the job, and also follow through with commitment.
I too am running a business from my home so knowing when work will happen and having him follow thru with that is important to me.
What blows my mind about him missing another commitment on his end, is that he knew exactly besides rough cost of the job, so if you didn't want to take it, why not as a person let me know so I didn't another month trying to get the repair done.
Given that he came as a referral, and the pictures of his work look very good, I imagine that if someone has a really high dollar project this company might be good. But there is a demonstrated lack of accountability and basic human courtesy, so just beware before you decide to partner with this company.
I've included screenshots of when I had to text him and follow up, him saying he'll get back to me, not getting back to me, and me having to follow up again
