Rethymno Youth Hostel

One of the best hostels in the world, not even just in crete! Location central to everything, beautiful cobbles, and very reasonably priced. This hostel is perfect for solo travellers! Your made to feel at home as soon as you walk in! Everyone is so friendly, conversational, and professional! 10/10 would recommend! The owner was so down to earth friendly, and very involved! (Didnt even realise he was the owner until the last night) tristan was also amazing and had so many life stories. And holly one of the volunteers too. Will forever treasure my time staying at this hostel!

Ended my trip through Greece in this hostel and it became one of my highlights. Atmosphere is awesome. Location is great, located in old town, everything you need is near (busses, shops, restaurant, beaches, ...). The rooms are spacious and tiddy. There is a main terrace where a lot of people come together and chill, I immediately met people here, with whom I spend the rest of my stay. Showers and toilets are available in abundance and are also clean. Loved the hosts that I met (Tristan and Nikos), two stand up guys who are very helpful and immediately made me feel welcome. My only regret is not staying longer. Would recommend all travelers who are up for a chill and social environment.

Great hostel in terms of location and value for money. The atmosphere was also very lively and most of all - kudos to the absolutely helpful owners and staff.

One of the best hostels I’ve been to. Amazing staff especially the manager Tristan, I arrived late at 1:30 am after the check in was closed and he was so accommodating and let me in the room, also he had the best recommendation for places to go to or eat in. The atmosphere and people there are the best, I enjoyed the vibes , and met many wonderful people. The hostel is always clean thanks to all the volunteers there. Would definitely recommend it to everyone and can’t wait to go back there

An absolute must for solo travellers. I spent 3 nights in this wonderful hostel and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. Everyone of the staff makes you feel at home, and the vibes are great. I'm already looking forward to my next stay sometime soon hopefully! Special thanks to Tristan, who made the stay a five star experience from day 1.

We had a lovely time at the youth hostel. This was made especially homely by our excellent hosts Tristan, Nikos, Joseph, Natalia, Raye and Fran. Made our visit to Rethymno very special. Great knowledge of the local area, restaurants and good suggestions on what to do. Was brilliant to meet so many different people and to be made to feel at home. Tristan hasn’t hosted a family before but did an excellent job.

What truly made my stay special was the friendly and amazing service. Being a family-run hostel, their genuine warmth and helpfulness made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The owners are amazing! The hostel itself is fantastic. It's clean, really comfortable, and has a great vibe that makes it super easy to connect with other travelers. Plus, the location is perfect – you're in a prime spot to explore everything Rethymno has to offer.
