Rethymno Youth Hostel: A Solo Traveler's Paradise! As a solo traveler from Münster, Germany, I've stayed in countless hostels, and Rethymno Youth Hostel is a real gem. What truly made my stay special was the friendly and amazing service. Being a family-run hostel, their genuine warmth and helpfulness made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The owners are amazing! The hostel itself is fantastic. It's clean, really comfortable, and has a great vibe that makes it super easy to connect with other travelers. Plus, the location is perfect – you're in a prime spot to explore everything Rethymno has to offer. If you're looking for a hostel with a fantastic location, great amenities, and service that goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Rethymno Youth Hostel.

One of the best hostels I’ve been to. Amazing staff especially the manager Tristan, I arrived late at 1:30 am after the check in was closed and he was so accommodating and let me in the room, also he had the best recommendation for places to go to or eat in. The atmosphere and people there are the best, I enjoyed the vibes , and met many wonderful people. The hostel is always clean thanks to all the volunteers there. Would definitely recommend it to everyone and can’t wait to go back there

An absolute must for solo travellers. I spent 3 nights in this wonderful hostel and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. Everyone of the staff makes you feel at home, and the vibes are great. I'm already looking forward to my next stay sometime soon hopefully! Special thanks to Tristan, who made the stay a five star experience from day 1.

Stayed for 4 nights at this wonderful hostel. Staff and volunteers were all lovely, welcoming and very helpful with finding/organising day trips to other parts of the island!! Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and kitchen had everything needed for cooking :). Would 100% recommend staying at this hostel for anyone going to Rethymno. Can’t wait to come back next time I am in Crete :)

We had a lovely time at the youth hostel. This was made especially homely by our excellent hosts Tristan, Nikos, Joseph, Natalia, Raye and Fran. Made our visit to Rethymno very special. Great knowledge of the local area, restaurants and good suggestions on what to do. Was brilliant to meet so many different people and to be made to feel at home. Tristan hasn’t hosted a family before but did an excellent job.

My favourite hostel in Crete, amazing atmosphere and staff/ owners. I felt so welcomed as soon as I got there, I highly recommend staying, and I will be returning when I go back to Crete. Big thank you to Tristan, Nikos and Joseph!! Thank you so much!!

Amazing space with a really special atmosphere. Clean and really kind and helpful staff. Really easy to socialize and meet people in the common areas. Definitely a good place for solo travelers and women. Great value

It was my first time staying in a youth hostel and it was awesome. Everyone from the manager, Tristan, to the others volunteers were very welcoming and helpful with everything and were very lovely too. The place is clean. I can only recommend everyone going in Crete to stay in this hostel.
