RetroGusto Restaurant & Bar

I liked the terrace spot, felt nice and peaceful, because it was windy and kinda chilly.. we ordered mare e monti pizza and it was great 9/10. We also ordered ravioli and raviolini, it was okay.. the portions were smaller than expected..

We loved our evening at RetroGusto. The Carpaccio, the Steak, the Soup and Risotto were all excellent and priced reasonably for high end food with creative sauces and presentation. The service was also outstanding.

We came for lunch and it took much longer than expected. When asked about how they were “farm to table” the waiter said he didn’t know because he was new. We tried a few items including the chuleton, gnocchi, pasta and pizza and none wowed me. I specifically requested the seafood pasta for the kids not to have any greens/herbs on it and it came with it. Not what I expected.

Pleasantly surprised. Recommended by a friend, the menu is fantastic something for everyone. We started with pizza for appetizer, we had some salad and wine, then ordered main courses. Everyone share if you bites just to check it out. The pork chop, beef, fish and truffle dish worth it. We two bottles of the Chilean Cabernet. The price super reasonable.

We were a walk-in party of 10 and had the pleasure of sitting at a table overlooking the kitchen. Our experience was top-notch, with Armando as our server. He was attentive and knowledgeable. If he was uncertain of a question one of us had he didn't hesitate to confirm it with the chef. Our food was unbelievable, the mushroom bisque on special was literally to die for, seriously, I will never stop thinking about that soup. Everything from the beef carpaccio to the homemade pastas were flawlessly executed and the courses were delivered within reasonable times between each other, no feeling of being rushed or waiting around for food. It was an excellent experience — we can't wait to return to Boquete to visit this restaurant again. Thank you to Armando, the chef, and the entire RetroGusto team!

The food at this restaurant is amazing!! The beef carpaccio for starters was so good that we ordered a 2nd. For main we had the chicken dish and the truffle pasta and they were both also great, reasonable prices and good sized dishes. Only downside was disorganised service…. the restaurant wasn’t busy but had to ask multiple times for a bottled drink which ended up taking 20 mins to come out.

The service was great and fast. The food was excellent and very well arrange on the plate. Attention to details

We ordered pizza. Crust was fantastic! It was a tad salty but I think it was the pepperoni, which they sure dont skimp putting on. And we still had no trouble eating it...my husband ate the whole pizza and I had 1 piece left.
